Luckily, after novembers election we can say that these types of people (responsible for Bush and the devistation his administration caused) are now in the minority and are becoming more and more obsolete and irrelevent every day.

Growing up in the rural upper midwest I am very familiar with this kind of voter.

Unlike the neocon criminals that manipulate them, there are some good, but deeply misguided individuals among them. Sure the wrongheaded sense of moral superiority (theologically premarital sex is no more sinful than gay sex) and entitlement (this is no longer a "white christian" nation) can be off putting, but the problem is no more than simple ignorance.

The neocon manipulators know exactly how to exploit tribalism to further their own aims. For that very reason I think we would be wise as a country to prosecute the senior republican leadership going back roughly 30 years for how they have divided and exploited our nation.

Additionally, a serious democracy would consider punitive measures for people like sean hannity, rush limbaugh and anne coulter who profit off of dividing and weakening our country.
