Maybe the head of the DNC should speak on this.   ::)

CNN Host D. L. Hughley: Republicans 'Literally Look Like Nazi Germany'
By Matthew Balan (Bio | Archive)
March 2, 2009 - 15:38 ET

CNN host D.L. Hughley turned to the standard left-wing tactic of playing the Nazi card against Republicans on his program on Saturday evening: “The tenets of the Republican Party are amazing and they seem warm and welcome. But when I watch it be applied -- like you didn’t have to go much further than the Republican National Convention....It literally look like Nazi Germany.” He went on to say that blacks weren’t welcome in the party: “It just does not seem -- like not only are we not welcome -- not only are we not welcome, but they don’t even care what we think.” He later described the GOP as “reactionary.” [audio available here]

The stand-up comedian-turned-TV host made the remark during a segment with Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele and Chuck D, a former member of the hip-hop group Public Enemy. Unfortunately, Steele did not verbally react to Hughley’s Nazi characterization. Chuck D, on the other hand, expressed his agreement with the host about blacks supposedly not being welcome in the Republican Party: “I covered the Republican convention in ‘96 for MTV...and -- seriously, their agenda was totally somewhere else, which totally -- you know, didn’t have black people or people of color in mind.” He then expressed his belief that there should be more major parties in the U.S.

And looking at the DNC convention it looks like a combination of the welfare office/ Rainbow coalition meeting, and NAMBLA convention.

What's his point?

They remind me more of Iraq from the 80's

I remember seeing a video (I believe from the early/mid 80's) with all these Iraqi military guys in a big auditorium  with Saddam on the stage and they were all scared shitless because Saddam was occassionally having someone dragged out to be executed.  They were all jumping up and down and professing their loyalty and clearing scared shitless that they were about the be killed.

That's how I see the Repubs today

I should have been more clear.  I was using that reference not about CPAC attendee's but of the Republican leadership who are scared that any word in defiance of Rush will mean their political death

ok.  What do you want them to disagree with Rush about?  Name me one issue specifically where you think Rush is wrong.

Yeah but ur allowing Obama and or his media team to define who runs the Republican party. Rush has an immense audience and does represent the Conservative wing, or atleast exposes their ideas the best. But if u listen to his ideas and or show day in and day out, u soon realize he is an entertainer as well. Its Steels's job to rack in the cash and unite the party. I agree its hard to disagree with him...but if ur a hard core consrvative, I don't think u'd have much to worry about if u did so.

I'm not allowing it.

The Repubs are allowing it to happen and it appears to be true

Conservatives shouldn't be concerned with any particular race per say.  The ideal is truely to create color blind policies.  Continuing to create categories of people is backward, this is often what liberals do.  They sustain categories of people which promotes people feeling part of a sub-group.  That is not the way forward.  I don't want policies that promote blacks or any particular race of people...so Hughley's comments are stupid IMO.  I suppose he is commenting on seeing a low % of blacks at the convention but that does not mean they are not welcomed.  Electing Michael Steele is a perfect example.  More people are coming together over ideologies, not race.  That is the future.

Agreed, why is this guy on CNN?  I admit I've only seen him a couple times but it wasn't interesting or informative.
