No, but the judges clearly said "you can't slack off on your conditioning"

I don't think so, his upper body and especially back were awesome.  Just needs to find a way to get those legs up, if he can't, then yeah he is done.

This is good for BB, something like Gunter beating Ron. It makes the Olympia more interesting while forcing Vic to realize he's got to sharpen the conditiong, keep workign the legs and finally take it to another level in order to win.

Fuck Victor, he had a rotten look on his face like he thought had been cheaten, he should have lost, and the racist fucks in the crowd only booed when Branch was 3rd because he's white.

This is coming from a white guy.  ;D

Vic won't make the Top 5 at the O.... He got a GIFT being 2nd he should have been BEHIND Branch..

I wouldn't think so. The guy had a serious injury for which he underwent surgery and he still managed to comeback and place a close second in the second biggest contest of the year. Just got to give him a bit more time, not to mention if he nails his conditioning, he could be number 1 easy. I'd rather Victor was Mr Olympia than the ugly midget Turtle Jackson.

Yup.

His legs are like 3 years behind his upper body now. I don't see him regaining the size/conditioning without suffering another tear.

Nah, Vic in halfway decent shape or better will always beat an ugly mofo like Branch and his huge limitations. Branch can only go so far.

Vic losing is a good setup for the Olympia, from a promoter's point of view.

His Left leg, especially the vastus lateris was well below par - its gonna take a fair bit of catching up. Vic's upper body is superb so he is in with a shout if he nails the conditioning - possibly more so next year than this as it gives him more catch up time with the legs.

Vic needs more time to get that leg up to par, but I don't see him taking any more time off to get it up with his right.  More than anything, I think this contest showed that Victor is not a front-runner for the Olympia in 2009.  Kai, Phil and Jay are the guys who look like they can take the title.  Victor has a lot of work ahead of him, but I think he will be back to where he left of in 2007 at the 2010 Arnold Classic.

As a doc, I can tell you that a full quad tear is one of the most difficult tendon tears to come back from.  Sure he may have been back at the gym in 6 months but it probably takes a year minimum to get back to normal.  With the way they repair tendons these days that leg has the potential to get back to near 100%, it just takes more time.

Vic wasn't in the shape he needed to be in last night.  When the judges see that you have looked better previously, they are very cautious awarding wins.  I still think Vic is superior to Kai both at (or near) 100%.

The real scary thing is that Kai Greene just won the biggest show of his life at 85-90% of his best.
