Gold Diggers on Dr. Phil today...Your take
« on: March 09, 2009, 06:01:13 PM »
Today Dr. Phil had a show on Gold diggers, they had this very attractive  24 yr woman by the name of Baje, who is a out and out Gold digger. But Dr. Phil played a trick on her by having the Limo Driver who was really  a NFL Football star who just recently inked a 76 million dollar contract.

Take a look, at the notes and clips, what is your take?

1. Chick looks older than 24
2. She can't be bought yet she goes for guys with money?
3. "How is he going to support me?"....and women wonder why men still think they should control their woman  ::)
4. It's no wonder these women live unhappy lives, popping pills, having surgery after surgery, etc

All in all her scam seems like an expensive case of blue balls.  I think I'd be better off dating a stripper or hooker before this chick.  At least they are hot and I know the game up front.

She says that she was tired of trying to get in magazines, but they would say, "fine you have to have sex with me or go to dinner with me", So alledgedly she decided that would have to pay out the ass. I also think that she was hurt as well. All men want is sex, well , welcome to Biology...

She does look older than 24, and honestly there are a lot pretteir women out there.  It's known that women are all about money and mterial things while guys have 3 basic needs.

1) Food
2) Shelter
3) Sex

Not always in that order, women have a list of needs that reads like the encyclopedia brittanica, and only a few of those needs are to "be held, or understood," everything else deals with money/social status.  I take that back, women want to be held by a mink coat and to be understood that she needs to be bought everything in Bloomingdales.

They don't want to acknowledge the truth

You see, I particular ask these types of questions to the women, instead of "fluff" questions.  I like to know their thoughts on the subject, with no name calling or labeling. If people are unwilling to talk or express their views, then why have a Woman's board, in which topics involving women, and men's relationships with them cannot be questioned.

http://www.drphil.com/shows/show/1240/?preview=&versionID=

I actually saw the show. I thought it was very sad. I think the clips & the notes on the website are pretty one sided and a deliberate attempt to portray her in a certain light. On the show, she didn't come across as bad as she does on the website, ...but admittedly I had the set muted throughout quite a bit of it. She is still very misguided imo.  :'(

It's interesting that she describes herself as "angry", ...but the angriest person I saw on the show was that coach's wife. Now there was a woman with a whole lot of anger inside her.  I don't personally understand the anger that most people feel about this. And curiously enough, it's been my observation that the angriest people, are usually those who often stand the least likeliest chance of entering into those kinds of relationships. ie: Women without the means to attract wealthy sugar-daddies, and men without the means to be a wealthy sugar-daddy. Let us also not forget the wives who married their sugar-daddies; they seem to possess a particularly virulent brand of anger, that often makes me wonder about the degree of altruism that motivates the anger. Obviously these are symbiotic relationships taking place wherein each party gets out of it what they want. Having anger about a gold digger is like being ticked off that John Doe visits brothels. who cares? If he wants to pay for sex, if a woman wants to sell sex, that's their business. It's none of mine, and it doesn't affect my life or those I care about. People make choices for their own lives. If their personal choices, and ambitions differ from my own, who am I to condemn them for it.

I think she is going to end up horribly hurt and disillusioned down the road, ...or she may become further entrenched in her anger. Poor kid is losing out in a big way. I also think she needs to dig deep within herself to understand herself more. She still has a lot of healing to do.

Overall, I thought it was a pretty good show.

Wow Cappy, ...looks like your comment validates her cause. {sigh}
Good Luck to you both. Looks like she's not the only one potentially missing out.

My point was that if I was going to date a woman who was going to suck me dry of money I'd rather get the sex out of it too otherwise it is an expensive tease.

I understand being jilted (as I am in that phase now) but her approach to life is...well....interesting to me.  If I remember correctly she was told that if she wanted to get what she wanted she needed to "put out" so she turned around and basically told men the same; although their fee is money not sex.  Quid pro quo arrangements are shitty but in her case she would have gotten what she wanted (modeling) and possibly gotten fame; man and woman win because he gets laid, she gets paid.  In the case of the man paying for her company, she wins because she gets paid and the man has a shot of getting what he wants.

Sadly she came off as a jilted unattractive woman (who does not look 24) and will be pissed off for the rest of her life even though she'll claim she's completely happy.  Bottom line is she's a glorified whore and any dude who dates her is a sucker.

I go with the opinion of to each their own really , and you reap what you sow

If you don't seek a deep close relationship with someone and are only after what you can get monetarily or material wise .. in the end that's what you'll end up with , some money and possessions ... not a partner or a loving home

I'd rather live in a one room shanty with someone who loves me completely , than live in a mansion full of pretty things sharing space with someone who "pays" me for "services rendered"

I didn't watch the show, but I agree she seemed angry that guys wanted sex for getting her in magazines or photoshoots, but that comes with the business, men will men, some are unprofessional with it. And for the record Men have always wanted sex, duh, and usually women make us work for it to see if we are worthy.

So, she comes up with this grand scheme of scheming dudes out of money, " I want a Blackberry, so that is my goal, get somebody to get a Blackberry"

She just may end up like a woman I know, she wanted a older man to pay for all her shit, she is now living in a Big house, but getting beat up, and emotionally abused...There is a price for everything, and soon, this gold-digger will feel it. It might be a 911 call for rape in the future.

Sad, that if the circumstances were right, she could have have that NFL playr on her arms, or a dude who may not be "balling", but made money, who was handsome, and treated her right, but she ruined it.

If you are near an "In-N-Out" try the chile peppers chopped into the burger.  A bit spicy but I see a lot of my friends doing it lately.

I couldn't agree more. To this I will only add it works both ways. The guys who are always looking for ways to participate in those kinds of relations end up with just that, empty shallow lifeless relationships. They may end up with sex, but not a loving partner either. And worse if they actually marry they might find themselves divorced and their wealth decimated.  Having worked in the film industry, I've met many people who are living that lifestyle, both men & women, ... It's a sad way to live.  :'(

I don't think the gold diggers are more common, I think they just stand out more because they're so alarming.
I mean who would want to get caught in their clutches? ...especially when men are so vulnerable to them.

Dr. Phil actually read off a poll they took among men & women to see what their priorities were when seeking a relationship. It came down to Love, Sex, and Money. The women overwhelmingly responded love, with a very small percentage saying money, and I think something like 3% saying sex. Then they read the results from the men, And it was something like 30% of the men saying the #1 thing they sought out of a relationship was sex, money came in second and love third. So what does that say?  :-\  With more men looking for sex than there were women looking for money, there's plenty of hunting ground for the predators. I think it also illustrated how someone like her could resort to gold-digging as a defense mechanism.

more power to them..

if a guy can't tell he's being used for his money, then he probably deserves to be had for what she's using them for.....

they prey off mens egos, and I don't see much wrong with that actually...

The irony is a lot of people don't realize there are infact 2 types of predators on the prowl there.
The gold-diggers, and the men who actually seek out these types of relationships to begin with,
...hopefully it's mutually rewarding. If not, in the end, it all boils down to who gets played by who.
It's a preet sad way to live if you ask me. Sounds like both types deserve each other.
When they hook up with each other, they do the rest of us a valueable service.
