i see dudes chillen all the time in the gym wearing these so-called "power" belts doing sets of curls, sets of standing and talking, or just looking around the gym thinking that a tight belt around the waist makes them not look fat. i saw some stupid kid wearing these while doing abs.

i tried using these a while back for a couple of workouts during the obvious lifts such as squats and deadlifts when my back was bothering me, and i thought it was freakin uncomfortable. it didnt help one bit. what the fuck are these things for anyway? are they truly necessary for some people? seems like most people who wear them just like the idea of wearing a belt, and think it gives off a better image when theyre in the gym.
