Also, in these pictures Ronnie was closer to his prime than Dorian. Dorian at his best is untouchable.

These pics are from 96'

Ronnie was 2 years away from hitting his prime (98' which most people consider)

Dorian was 1 year after hitting his prime (95' which most people consider)

Now who was closer to their prime? LOL

Nothing against Nasser,   he was always cool to me.  I put him in Ruhl's department though.  A fan favorite!!!!

Dorian is simply put, the greatest ever. No one really compares to Dorian in all aspects of bodybuilding: dominance on the Olympia stage, intelligence towards training and nutrition, and diligence in the gym.

no ronnie here was far away from his best.. he was still considered as a 2nd level pro.

One thing I CAN give Yates credit for.  He was the most improved IFBBer ever. He looked goofy but promissing when he took second to Momo....then after a year of busting his ass...he came back with a back  that had me saying   PHUQ!!!!!!   In a bookstore   in Washington DC in 91.  Remember the magazine cover with him doing one arm rows with a dumbell that weighed more that Flozell Adams soak and wet?

Nasser's "weak" back  ::)

After 95 Nasser brought his back up pretty good, was still one of the top 6 backs onstage, and of course the very best from the front.

Dorian did everything Franky warned Tony Montana from doing.....wanting it all to soon   so fast ....all flash  and then they don't last.   Haney trained much safer than the other 2.....and his diet was much healthier.

I guess Nasser was your basic seated rows...pulldowns back trainer...like everyone at Venice in the 90's.       No one likes doing bent overs  or THE REAL T Bar rows.....not many gyms have those machines though.

twice as big as ronnie and deadlifted way more
Why deadlift ?   My gym   ooops I mean fitness center  has a nice chair  you can sit in  and work your lower back  without    loading a barbell on the floor   then bending over to power it up (kidding  I deadlift   I have to).   But deadlifts are dying out also.

at their best nasser had a better back than dillett but still no one talks/was talking about paul's back as much as nasser's.. this is because nasser's back was his ONLY weak part but paul and the other top pros had many..

no from 94 till 96 he had one arm and half.. by 97 he had only one arm ;D.. but no problem even if he had no arms at all he would still have won any show he entered!!..

What's so great about "outmassing" Paul   he was just big....but not realy freaky   except when he either just stood there   or  did that gay chest thing where vains came out   but next to Dorian and Nasser,  Paul  looks like Anja Schriener!!!!

Sad fact I guess, but  no wonder Shawn was whining!!!!!  To me  D only looked good in 93    even though he was more cut in 92 (might have been the lighting though).

I guess Nasser was your basic seated rows...pulldowns back trainer...like everyone at Venice in the 90's.       No one likes doing bent overs  or THE REAL T Bar rows.....not many gyms have those machines though.

You can't build one of the top 6 backs onstage by only doing pulldowns and cable rows.  Nasser rarely did these movements, the back exercises he did most often were deadlifts (full or half-reps), barbell rows (both overhead and underhand grips), t-bar rows (without the chest pad), one-arm dumbell rows, weighted chinups (close-reverse, wide, and close-parallell grips), and dumbell pullovers.  He also did, but less often, lat pulldowns (behind the neck and front), seated cable rows, straight-arm cable pulldowns, and hyperextensions.  He trained back twice a week, usually in the 6-15 rep range.
