Not sure if you guys saw this but Shamrock got busted! Ken Shamrock Suspended for Steroids: “The World’s Most Dangerous Man”, Ken Shamrock, is looking more like, “The World’s Stupidest Man”, after testing positive for three different anabolic steroids, which have lead to a 1-year suspension by the California State Athletic Commission. The failed test occurred after Shamrock’s February 13th fight in Fresno, CA, where he was victorious over Ross Clifton in the first round.
The Commission announced that the UFC Hall of Famer’s suspension along with a $2,500 fine were implemented after he tested positive for 19-Norandrosterone, 19- Noretiocholanolone and Stanozolol.
On April 1st, the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Spike TV will present, "UFC Fight Night", its first-ever event in Nashville, Tennessee. Check out UFC Fight Night Betting Odds now.
The 45-year-old, Shamrock, had been scheduled to fight in Pensacola, FL, as the co-main event of a March 21st MMA/Boxing card against former World Wrestling Entertainment star Bobby Lashley.
States are required to honor each other’s suspensions, meaning Florida would not allow Shamrock to fight because of his California suspension. Needless to say, the chances of that fight happening are very dim, as well as Shamrock’s fighting career. In UFC Fight Night Betting Odds main event, slight Sports Odds favorite, (23-4) Carlos Condit [-120] takes on the underdog (14-2) Martin Kampmann [-110].
Shamrock’s suspension runs through February 1, 2010, just 10 days before his 46th birthday. The UFC Hall of Famer will likely finish his career with his victory over Clifton, which snapped a 5-fight losing streak. Before then, Shamrock had lost 8 of his last 11 bouts, including two beating at the hands of now Affliction man, Tito Ortiz. In the co-main event, Sports Odds undefeated favorite, (12-0) Efrain Escudero [-215] takes on (16-4) Jeremy Stephens [+175]. /quote]

Frank would kill him. Time for Ken to hang em up. I assume his fight with Lashley is off now?

I actually think the Ken/Kimbo thing was legit. I bet Ken would have died to have even been in the ring that night win, lose, or draw. Guy loves his money.

When are professional sports going to cut the bullshit and let athletes do whatever they want, half of them do already. i know this makes to much sense for this crowd but the answer is never, to do so would be supporting organized crime. same with making drugs, roids or anything else legal, organized crime won't just suddenly go away. didn't happen with cigs, booze or anything else and never will. then we have these so called athletes families and loved ones we have not yet considered. quite possibly it is they who pay the dearest price of all. then again this is way over the heads of the average non bodybuilding troll bait democrat voting liberals around here.
