Someone who can't produce a single picture where he actually was in shape is not a competitive bodybuilder, whether he showed up at contests or not. I wish him all the best, but his problem is not who he gets advise from. Simply sticking to any calorie reduced diet for a few months would get him in better shape than he ever was.

Clearly not a single one of that boy's relatives ever spent anytime in the fields picking cotton or mending fences. Worst genetics of all time on a soul brother. Add to that; no knowledge of training, diet, posing, etc., and you get the mess seen in the picture.

Phenotype does not determine the Genotype. It makes no difference what someone`s relatives did in the past as it has no bearing whatsoever in offspring biologically.

Also note that people have NEVER been selectively bred for any length of time in order to isolate desirable alleles. Given the human lifespan, it would take thousands of years of Artificial Selection to isolate and identify and then breed a simple trait and that with the population STRICTLY controlled and the Gene Pool STRICTLY limited.

Everyone here is an expert because they think they can help Melvin. Vince G CSN MFT has sufficient genetics to be a big guy. All he needs to do is train properly on some decent equipment for a few more years. For some obscure reason he is somewhat confused so has to resort to listening to the advice of others. That obviously is not working.

Let us see what Melvin shows us in his next show. Should be interesting. We all expect more of the same. You would think by now that everyone on Getbig would know Mr Goodrum and his fantasies but apparently not everyone does. Thus, he is smart to keep promoting himself.
