Praising a "martial actor" that never walked into a ring or a real fight... only on getbig...  :(
Callig Bruce Lee a martial "actor" and not a martial "artist" AND actor...only on getbig. ::) I guess you never heard of the Wong Jack Man confrontation, just for starters.  Or the martial artist extra who challenged him on the set of "Enter The Dragon" and got his ass kicked in front of the set. Or all the champion black belts who DID "get in the ring" (Chuck Norris, Bob Wall, etc.) that trained with Lee and who have said straight up that they couldn't beat Bruce.

It is also an insult to all of his former students and instructors in his art. This is the type of comment you get from people who don't know what they are talking about and likely gained their "martial arts experience" from sitting on the couch and watching the UFC.

Dan is the only person alive that is licenced directly by bruce lee to teach JKD.

Like I said before... he never proved himself in the "real deal"... Training is not competitive fighting... Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Jackie Chan is all about movies and urban myths...

What is your fighting background "rccs"? What defines the "real deal" of combat as only your wisdom can define it? I can just as easily state that sport fighting is not real fighting.

Which urban myths are we referring to in regards to Bruce Lee, and where are the movie clips of Bruce fighting on the streets in Hong Kong, his fight with Wong Jack Man, his fight on the set of Enter The Dragon, or other challenge matches he dealt with? If he's all movies, surely this all would be packaged, have various movie titles, and be available on several dvds, no?  ::)

This thread is not about Jet Li and Jackie Chan. If you have some urban myths about those two individuals, please share...in another thread.

How should I put it... comparing to weight lifting sports, and using Arnold as the "Legend" I don't care what people say about how much he lifted on the backstage, or how he challenged someone on the locker room, etc, etc... Arnold won Mr. Olympia 7 times, he participated on weightlifting competitions doing very well... This is to say that the man proved to the world how good he was... Now Lee is all about movies... The real deal are guys like, Fedor, La Mota, Cassius Clay, Tyson, Schilt, Marciano, etc... They didn't created their images in movies, rather than that they showed to the world what their were up to... But I am not trying to hurt your feelings, Lee is probably your hero so... let it be..
