I'm down 20 pounds, no loss of strength
« on: March 15, 2009, 12:31:06 PM »
I've lost around 20 pounds of fat and am as strong (stronger in some movements) as before.

Eating fairly clean, sticking to 1500 - 2000 calories a day.

Good work! Only 350 to go until you break the 200 barrier! Keep at it!

I dropped from about 220 to 190 recently and feel alot better.
At 220 i was "bulking" and just looked puffy and bloated.

When ur bodyweight starts coming down, it's amazing how fast the physical changes happen.

I think I was carb sensitive so I dropped the carbs and dropped a ton of water that was giving me a bloated appearance.

My energy levels have gone up, and no real change in strength. Now I am gonna try get back up in weight, but doing it the right way instead of stuffing garbage down my throat all day.

Clothes are looser, but I look bigger in the mirror.

I urge any 220-250lb perma bulkers to give it a shot.

Forget the scale. And don't think that losing 30lb will make all your muscle waste away.

You should look bigger when ripped. In clothes not so much especially to people who don't know what they are looking at. But once you lean up you can see bulking all the time and being too heavy is stupid.

Many people here have witnessed my lack of training/nutritional knowledge, trust me I don't know enough yet to do steroids.  If I was they're certainly not working muscle wise.  ;D

The reason I posted was because everyone talks about muscle loss like it's such a concern when cutting.  I don't understand that at all.  I've had a similar experience as Adonis.  I don't even eat completely clean, only supplement I'm taking is Alive multi vitamin, and I'm just cutting calories.  So far it's working great.

I've read on here a couple times that when cutting, strength pretty much equals muscle mass.  So I'm thinking that I've retained almost everything.  ???

oh na im just fuckin with you...I cant ever get to that point myself. When im loosing and lifting heavy puttin on some good muscle. I always have to back off because joints=shit. So i cant get to the point where im 220 still lifting 380-390 because to get there i have beat the hell out of my joints. The only time i can lift in the high 300's/low 400's is when im 255ish..

ive noticed there is a point where your body will operate at an optimum bf% and much above that you wont see a dramatic increase.
