P.S. Pat Arnold is the only supplement guy I would trust..

I read somewhere that Pat was making some of their products. Don't know if he still is.

VPX, Muscletech and TWINLAB are all worth over a hundred mill.

What do you think BioTest and BSN are worth?

They should have called Species Lipolyze TOXILYZE because it contains usnic acid which may be toxic to the liver!!!

Usnic acid, an ingredient found in some weight-loss supplements, may be hazardous to your health. Some weight-loss products include usnic acid because it causes thermogenesis— an increase in caloric expenditure and metabolic rate, which promotes fat loss. It is found in Usnea barbata lichen, a plant species composed of algae and fungus that grows on rocks and tree trunks. Usnic acid causes uncoupling in the mitochondria, the energy centers of the cells. This means that the cells lose food energy as heat instead of converting it into usable energy or storing it as fat. Drugs such as dinitrophenol cause uncoupling but can have severe side effects. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported 23 cases of liver toxicity linked to usnic acid in weight-loss supplements. As a result, the National Toxicology Program is evaluating usnic acid and the Usnea barbata lichen to determine if they are poisonous and safe for human consumption. (Journal Environmental Science and Health, in press; published online October 2008)

Not sure.  Typically it's three times sales.  Find out their annual sales and multiply that by three.....

With sales of $110k, they might be making a profit of $30k (or less, depending on how much they blow on advertising & promotion).  Divide that by Dave, Colette, and Romano, and they're really "living large".  ::)
Yeah man when you put it that way, profit split between three...whoah

The amount of annual sales is a general estimate given to merchant processors so they can process credit cards when they start the business.  However, I know for a fact that they are doing a lot more than stated as a lot of distributors are buying their products.

How do you KNOW it is Whey Isolate?  How did you verify this?  Do you have any idea where the product comes from?

Or are you just going by what the label says?  ::)

I bet you cannot answer any of those questions.

You're absolutely right I have no idea if it is pure isolate. I am going by the label but I am also going by reputation. Dave just gives me no reason to believe he is ripping me off. Dave's a bb, understands nutrition more than anyone in the bb, and gets results and I would trust him before Hustletech. Plus the stuff tastes awesome.

How does someone go about finding annual sales?

Have you ever thought about starting a supplement company?

Blechman probably knows more about the science of nutrition than Dave. Sure, he gets results, but really understanding why, not really.

Most small businesses claim only a fraction of their annual sales.  Alot of small businesses only claim credit card sales. Most cash sales are never disclosed.  I'm sure they are claiming a small portion for tax purposes.

Yeah Blechman seems to really know his shit.  I was impressed with his knowledge on the low carb debate.

Blechman did run Twinlab so I'm sure he has a ton of knowledge but don't discount Palumbo.  He's a walking encyclopedia on everything.

Depending on the type of company they have to make certain information public.
Never confuse marketing (= creative lying) with reality.
