Anyone can sue anyone....

That said...you join the club and agree to abide by the rules set forth, they dont HAVE to let you in for any reason

Winning such a suit would be far fetched

a business is not a club.  and you can't sign away your civil rights.   then there is probably something about monopolies.

while a business doesn't have to hire someone (then again, none of the athletes are employees), it's certainly illegal for a business to threaten other businesses with retaliation if they hire someone.

Yes, the IFBB would certainly fall foul of many countries' competition laws.

Probably not...there are plenty of other federations out there

Probably yes...the fact that the IFBB is the dominant federation but bans bodybuilders for competing in other federations is clearly an abuse of monopoly power.

Remember all that false bravado and name calling years back.  Yes, it was 'the midget' threatening to sue the IFBB!

Well, 'the midget' did jack shit.  Last reports, he is still grovelling and has a 'new found' repect for the industry (that apparently 'bent him over' time and time again)!

No credibility in my humble opinion!

Athletes are free to compete where ever they wish..."exclusivity" is something you willfully sign up and agree to when you join the club

Doesn't matter.  The IFBB is clearly abusing its position as the market leader to reduce competition, hence breaking most countries' competion law.  This isn't even econ 101  ::)

The Midget openly and stridently threatened to 'bring down' and expose the IFBB.  Well, that got him far...not!

Bottom line, the organisation is corrupt to the core.

Just looks pretty sad and pathetic to want to sue an organisation that exists without any professional ethics or standards.

let me state it again:

while a business doesn't have to hire someone (then again, none of the athletes are employees), it's certainly illegal for a business to threaten other businesses with retaliation if they (the other businesses) hire someone.

if Milos lost contracts with third parties because Chua or others threatened those third parties with retaliation, that would be illegal

Good luck proving that..

What would be so hard to prove it.  If a certain business decided to come forward and make a statement saying the IFBB threatened to do something that would hurt their business if they supported Milos or whatever I think that would be proof enough especially since they would have records of phone calls and emails and other correspondence.

If a high powered law-firm really gave a shit, I am confidant that an anti-trust suit would be a realistic scenerio agaisnt the IFBB. Problem is that NO ONE cares.

Business as usual.

I honestly don't think Milos will pursue a lawsuit against the federation; from what I have read of his posts, he respects the IFBB, and speaks highly of the sport.

For the record: Milos witnessed a contradiction to a fair competition.

Legal advice from Bob Chick.  Great.  Bob Chick has no education to speak of, much less a degree in jurisprudence.  His opinions on Employment Law aren't worth the dried up cum on a Peep Show floor.  The guy can barely spell.

I'm not giving legal advice, I;m giving MY opinion on the matter....as for education...I went to college for criminal justice, and then went through the police academy before working as a deputy sheriff for 3 years

Speaking of being able to spell...what does "Bob Chick has no education go speak of..." mean?

The entire IFBB needs an overhaul, heads must roll and corruption must be rooted out, the likes of Chua are operating as if its still the 1970's, these dinosaurs should be as extinct as their ideas and way of thinking!
