New Weapon

This story is strange in that what is the chance that an employee in a Whole Foods store or any store for that matter would know anything about Wandering Brazilian spiders?. Why would he capture it as opposed to killing it as most people do to spiders? Why would he turn it over to the university?  Call me a conspiratorial person, but something stinks in Denmark with this story. Maybe the venom will become the next new poison in the military...

World's deadliest spider found in Tulsa store

2 hrs 57 mins ago

TULSA, Okla. – One of the most deadly spiders in the world has been found in the produce section of a Tulsa grocery store. An employee of Whole Foods Market found the Brazilian Wandering Spider Sunday in bananas from Honduras and managed to catch it in a container.

The spider was given to University of Tulsa Animal Facilities director Terry Childs who said this type of spider kills more people than any other.

Childs said a bite will kill a person in about 25 minutes and while there is an antidote he doesn't know of any in the Tulsa area.

Spiders often are found in imported produce, and a manager at Whole Foods says the store regularly checks its goods and that's how the spider was found.

I dismiss no conspiracy theories these days without fully investigating each one. You never know what the elites have planned.

Samson...  I'm sincerely surprised that you don't spend every day of your life curled on your floor in the fetal position, afraid to even leave your house.  It must suck to be you.

Not so deadly? Chance Tulsa spider misidentified
From Associated Press
March 20, 2009 7:37 AM EDT

TULSA, Okla. - A spider that was found in a Tulsa grocery store may not have been as deadly as originally thought.

The spider found in a shipment of bananas at Whole Foods was taken Sunday to the University of Tulsa, where animal facilities manager Terry Childs identified it as a Brazilian wandering spider, considered one of the most lethal in the world.

But Barry Downer, the curator of aquariums and herpetology at the Tulsa Zoo, said video and photos he had seen of the spider led him to believe that it was a Huntsman spider, which is harmless to humans.

"There's pretty definitive evidence it has been misidentified," Downer said.

Childs said Wednesday night that he had destroyed the spider at the urging of a university administrator because of safety concerns.

Downer said the spider should have been preserved for study, but he was told that the body would not be made available.

"It doesn't make any sense to me why it wouldn't be saved," he said.

A school spokesman said Thursday that the university is looking into how and why the spider was destroyed.

Richard Grantham, director of the plant disease and insect diagnostics lab at Oklahoma State University, also said the spider should not have been destroyed.

After looking at pictures of the spider, he said he does not believe it to be a Brazilian wandering spider, but he said it should have been preserved anyway.

"We preserve it," Grantham said. "We don't destroy it."

A similar incident happened at a Stillwater grocery store in 2003, Grantham said.

He kept the spider in a cage at the university lab until it died, and he still has the preserved body, he said.

Downer and Grantham also disputed Childs' characterization of the danger of a Brazilian wandering spider.

Death from the spider's bite is rare, and only victims with compromised immune systems, such as babies or older people, would be at risk, they said.

I'm not touching this.  It's a little far fetched even for me.  If they wanted it, they would have just flown it back anytime they wanted.  Spiders come back in these type of shipments all the time, sometimes snakes and other things too by accident.  Plus this kind of toxin usually isn't affective unless injected in the blood stream so I don't think it could be weaponized.  When they want us dead, they'll just go overhead and spray populations with some airborne virus and we'll breath it in and spread it like a wildfire or send us all off to die in a world war or some other shit already in their bag of tricks.

Your right! However american military is constantly seeking new killers or ways to kill. Just like they recently began using the virus that caused the Spanish Flu which killed millions, for a short time there was an outbreak of Bubonic Plague in america around 2005 or 2006, then the collection of avian flu, bird flu, H5n1, h1N11, ZX35 all all sorts of crazy shit SUDDENLY APPEARED...now this. What if a Real deadly spider was crossed with a common household spider/insects and the common household spider/insects became 'weaponized' and was now a dangerous killer...just a thought, but I don't put anything past these mad minded military scientist...when I first heard of SPIDER GOATS I did not believe that either...UNTIL...

what are you doing?  What I see in this post is the style of introduced absurdity disinfo that would be put out by a guy like David Icke.  You're not one of those guys that the pentagon budgeted money toward to go around to blogs and message boards are you?

NO HUGO!!!! I am NOT a dis-info agent...lololol

I said it was just a 'thought' (re-read the post) I also said I don't put anything past these mad man military scientist. I am not introducing dis-info. However when I first heard of SPIDER GOATS (which i thought was dis-info) I said BULLSHIT...only to be hit with reality when it was exposed that it was TRUE.
