The price of smokes has jumped so much.  I hate this garbage.  How can we selectively tax certain products becasue of their affect on our health?

I quit smoking three years ago, but I agree with what you are saying.  I have a major issue with those in government that grandstand about the evils of smoking, yet not one has ever refused to accept the tax revenue.  I'm not advocating outlawing cigarettes, but I would have a lot more respect for a lawmaker who tries to outlaw smoking than these who take the money but treat smokers like second-class citizens.

Michigan, they were 6 and change. As of last Monday they are 7 and change.

I just dip wherever, I love it.  Prices went up too but I could stick a pouch in at a bar or restaurant and nobody would notice.

I remember in high school when we had a smoking block at school.  Some teachers even smoked in class from time to time.  We had one teacher who smoked a pipe, but somebody complained and the prinicpal made her stop.

If they are going to tax smokers, they need to tax fast food more.  It probably causes more death with heart disease.
