The "Crowd" Factor
« on: March 24, 2009, 08:07:51 AM »
put up an easy 430 bench press today in front of my strength and conditioning class.  felt real easy, i dunno what it is about certain days but some days ur just stronger...theres a few cute girls in there that i would rather die than fail on a lift in front of...that probably helped  :P

"Crowd factor" is the whole reason to compete. ;)

Nice job on the bench! Surprising after the other 405 bench vid you posted.

sounds more like the "bullshit" factor, which is generally good for about 25 pounds !

There have been a couple times when I hadnt benched in many months and I try flat benching again and put up 405 with ease. So I believe you. Just good and bad days.

Just out of curiosity what can you do on incline?

to tell you the truth i really dont know i havent done incline in a very long time...i either do flat bench or when i actually have a small measure of disciplene, military press...in fact i havent done incline in so long i wouldnt even consider guessing what it might be to save myself the embarassment lol

my next goal is to work my military press up to 315 i dunno if that is to lofty for someone like me or not but i figure its worth a shot and if i dont get it ill be sure to post some excellent "fail" footage of me trying :)

Fair enough. 315 on Military is certainly lofty! I have never seen anyone do a proper 315 Military. Most cant even do a real 315 push press.

Good luck with that!

I would be unbelievably impressed if you managed a strict 315 military!!
