How has the recession affected you're training-Diet?
« on: March 26, 2009, 04:08:33 PM »
I don't import fish anymore, I buy fresh from the supermarket if it looks good.
I really only buy chicken breast when on sale, or buy whole chickens and give
the fatty parts to my dogs.
I'm eating more canned foods.
I eat less food.
I don't buy protein powder. (I can't weight train yet anyway).
I actually goto walmart to get eggs.  1.39 for a dozen Jumbo Eggs, as well as cereal.
I also goto china town here in vegas to get fresh fish.
I don't eat out like I used too.  Havent been out to eat in a month.

But this is not due to just the recession, but my injuries, and my ability to work as long/hard as 6 months ago.

Have you had to change anything?
Lets get some Ideas going..
Most are all show no go!

protein powder is probably one of the cheaper calorie sources. How much would it be per 50 gram serving, that's how you got to look at it.

Here is an idea: Just eat olive oil, protein powder, whole eggs, multivitamin and fiber if you want to be cheap.

Hahaahahahh Jimmyjam.
Funny, my name is Jimmy, but I really did jam
and was quite successful at it and still get royalties for the early 90's.
So my "English" and ability to use it profitable, is more than likely better
than anything you have accomplished.

I remember someone posted a site here or it could have been on general awhile back. With a great link for fresh salmon delivered to your door the next day. anyone know what I'm talking about? if you don't, do you know any good businesses that do this?

Eat more at home but then again I don't really like eating out a lot. Only eat stuff in restaurants that I can't make like sushi, Mexican, etc.

McD sweet tea went from $1 to $1.29

Needless to say, this put me into a tizzy.
