Unless you're talking about heavy weights I don't think it's that big of an issue. Most boxers are broke as shit at the regional level. They are beating themselves to death to earn a paycheck.

Hollyfield took winstrol, test, and GH. This is pretty standard for boxers/fighters.

mosley was on the clear and holyfield introduced boxing to steroids. because you cant go from a crusierweight to heavyweight in 1 year adding 10 to 15kg naturally with his training. 8)

plus he hired lee haney for training so i wouldnt be surprised if he gave him a few pointers 8)

holyfield wasn't a big heavyweight, maybe 215 or so

not saying he didn't juice, maybe he just cut 20 pounds of water before his cruiserweight fights

You are misinformed about Holyfield.

1. He never put on 10-15kg (22-33lbs) in one year.  Ever.
2. His last fight at Cruiser was in April '88. He weighed in at 190lbs.  By this point in his career he was consuming less calories than before to make weight.  His first fight at heavyweight was in 3 months later (July), and he weighed 202lbs.

His next fight, he weighed 210, then he weighed 208, 207, 212......  The most he ever weighed was 221, (year 2000).  His preferred fighting weight was less than this.  Infact he only weighed 214 in his last fight in December, and that was at the grand old age of 46!!

I think the whole "steroids thing" came because of the shape of his muscles, namely his impressive chest and traps.  Bottom line, Holyfield was/is a tiny heavyweight, and suggesting that 'Holyfield introduced boxing to steroids' is a disgusting and hideous claim.

next thing your going to tell me alistair overeem was a natural heavyweight but decided to fight at lhw beacuse he liked to diet on "cabbage juice" to make weight. sorry mate dont buy it.

if holyfield didnt introduce boxing to steroids than he was the most obvious user because there was alot of black people boxing and they didnt have that kind of muscularity and conditioning. he wasnt known as the "artificial boxer" for nothing

He always had a great physique; as an amateur, when he turned pro as a LHW, he looked good at cruiser, and so on and so forth.

"he was the most obvious user because there was alot of black people boxing and they didnt have that kind of muscularity and conditioning."

Foolish quote to make bro - you believe he juiced because he had a better physique than most??

Come on, I proved you wrong about how little weight he actually put on throughout his career, you claimed he put on over 30 pounds in a year, which is bullshit, and also formed the basis of your initial accusation and belief.

Bottom line, just consider that you might be wrong.

halotestin

a good boxer will always use halotestin for agressivness hardness and maintaining weight classes

test is optional depending on the period of times now its more common,,

if im wrong i will say i am but come on you dont put on weight with his training regime and keep his body fat levels low while maintaining a high level of muscularity without roids. sure he wasnt the first to use steroids in boxing but he stood out the most.

he is not a natural heavyweight because if he was he would of debuted as a heavy but instead he fought at cruiser because thats what he weighs training naturally. there is a few natural heavyweights ( to be classified a natural heavyweight you have to be a hw with abs) and holyfield is not one of them

again....most boxers are broke, don't know shit about drugs and hear so many myths about them they wouldn't use them.

Boxing training in itself is outdated on average. I'm talking about most boxers, not the 100 or so elite professionals.

Roy jones jr

Shane Mosley

Fernando vargas

Arturo gatti

All tested positive for steroids

In the case of Vargas, once he got busted for juice, he got his ass beat right out of boxing

I'm not suggesting that some boxers up at heavyweight don't take steroids, to stay at the weight.  Look at Toney he's been caught twice!
Ironically I first suspected this when looking at the weigh in pics vs Holyfield!  In April 03 he had his last fight at cruiser weighing in at a podgy looking 190lbs, and in the October he fought Holyfield and was a surprisingly well conditioned, and impressive 217lbs!!! Hmmmm.

Anyway I digress...Holyfield, never put on a significant amount of weight at any point in his career, for you to have any reasonable suspicion as I've already shown.  He turned pro at 177lbs, and over the years, gradually got bigger...u can't dismiss him as not being a natural heavyweight because he started his career at a lower weight.
