The dark ages, in which various religious factions killed and suppressed science and knowledge, has been estimated to have set back or delayed civilization and technology 800+ years. It is still working to do so, and replacing it with teaching of the bible. Sadly they are still succeeding but thankfully losing influence.
I feel for people that close their minds off by falling victims to this type of infestation of the mind. They are usually told these absurd and preposterous assumptions "truths" as a child, unable to snap out of it in later life.
This is how religious factions work. How honest is it to pump a child full of religious propaganda before they even ask questions on their own?
