i respect everyones opinion on the movie, but my personal view is that it was a terrible movie.

I thought it asked some interesting questions but have seen many movies that were better. Having never read the graphic novels I can only guess that they didn't consider traditional fans at all. Pretty much a straight geek movie.

Which is why there as to be a delicate balance for the ones who don't follow the graphic novels, and the ones who do. A prime example is X-men, and Wolverine. The Wolverine character is supposed to be a 5'3 195 pound, asked questions later, ripped off your head type of fellow (perfect if you wanna have Lee Priest play him). And also everytime his claws come out , it would rip thru his skin causing him to momentarily bleed. Now only someone who followed the X-men story line would know that. A person who didn't would not understand why fanboys were upset that Hugh Jackman a 6 footer was playing Logan.

Hell yeah it's worth watching, listen chuck don't be crazy and listen to the rest of the negative horse turds. The movie has a really good story line and is very in depth. You see people are pussies for example, planet fitness gym". They want to watch bitch flicks like Spiderman or Superman. When the reality is the world doesn't have all that much fucking glitter in it. The Watchmen is a mans superhero movie, but if you want to wear tampons to watch Spiderman go ahead. :)

awesome flick.....not better than Dark Knight but it was a great movie...although it is true you will get it better if you read the novel first..

I usually go with the kids and don't pay attention until the reedy cocksuckers brutalize me when it comes time for popcorn, slushies, nachos, candy and the other shit. :)

that's true..however...it was aimed at kids indirectly....you know ANY movie with superheroes in it are going to attract kids..plain and simple...and most of the kids were there with their parents...I'll bet the parents were pretty shocked when they had to sit there with their 10 year old daughter looking at a big swinging cock the entire movie ;D

wrong the movie is rated "R". It never targeted kids directly or indirectly. Saying that the movie targeted kids because it has "super -heroes", it like saying brokeback mountain is targeting kids because it has cowboys. ::)

good try but your analogy sucks.....all the kids were talking about seeing watchmen because they knew superheroes are in it.....and an R rating has never stopped kids in this country from seeing any movie they have wanted to .....again..the movie I was in had plenty of kids there..many with their parents....parents will take their kids to these movies if the kids bug their parents enough.....and kids sneak into these movies all the time......

no kid in this country is going to clamor to see a cowboy movie and bug their parents to take them to see it more will they sneak in to see it ;D

to me the dark knight was a mans movie, the wm was a mans graphic novel in its day, but as a movie  it fell short, whatever way you look at it. They tried to do a 300 and sin city i.e. keep everything the same, costumes, story etc and that is why it failed IMO.

I'm going against the grain here and saying, Watchmen is actually one of my favorite Superhero movies!  I own it in on Blu Ray, well made and better than the normal beat em up's, got an interesting story/plotline!
