Since I don't have much time to answer I will explain it in an easier way for you who have no ability to understand analogous statements.

You have tons of weapons including nuclear weapons, notice WEAPONS not a reactor , that can be found at bases or remote silos all over th US, yet you never feared they will get stolen or bombed, why is that?
Because they are properly secured, remote location + military discipline and zero tolerance to intruders make all those weapons safe.

I see no problem to properly secure a reactor from terrorist factions, next argument please.

Oh and about that WTC ...please...apples to oranges, not to mention that the outer shell of reactors that are in danger like the one in Israel are nothing short of a bunker, a direct hit from a plane will hardly make a dent.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... I don't even think I need to reply to this glaring malfunction of a response...  Hilarious guy...  I'm sure you see no ill logic in what you just said.  None of this had anything to do with your F15 statement which was just bizarre.

Downtown NY (along with Washington DC) is the most protected air space in the world yet to flying missiles got through to the intended target.

NOthing you have said changes the fact that each and every nuclear power plant is a WMD in waiting.  And for nuclear power to be an adequate replacement for conventional energy companies, hundreds more must be built.

Hundreds of WMDs littering the US countryside.

Read that report.  The reactors populating our country were designed to withstand natural disasters.  They were not built to withstand terrorist attacks...including planes.

Yawn....where do they put F15's? In military bases....that is why I gave it as an example....damn you're dense.

Decker, it doesn't matter how the reactors were built, it matters how the new ones will be.
You might as well say that a car made in the 50's and in the 90's are both equally safe  ::)

What the fuck are you talking about?  I'm dense lol? F15 in the middle of military bases?...  So there's a military base around each nuclear power plant, is that what you're trying to tell me?  Keep going, you'll scramble out of this some how or just continue until it's 4 pages deep. :D  Do you want me to save face for you and delete those posts you made?  I will if you want...  Or keep going, this is entertaining I guess.

Slowly now....you were afraid of terrorists attacks on reactors....well...I gave an analogy to F15 which is analogous to an attacking/stealing nuclear weapons from a base.

The idea that you completely missed was, you can secure a reactor just like you secure weapons, build the new reactors far enough with enough security and terrorist attacks are impossible.

Is that clear enough?

There are over 100 operational nuclear reactors in the country not designed to absorb a terrorist attack.  That's over 100 potential nuclear bombs.  How many took down Japan?  2.

Can a failsafe reactor be built?

Air Force theory: Missing pilot intentionally flew off course

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Air Force investigators are now operating under the theory that a missing fighter pilot deliberately flew his plane off course, senior Air Force officials told CNN.

Capt. Craig Button, 32, disappeared April 2 about 90 minutes after takeoff while flying in a three-plane formation across southern Arizona. Button and his A-10 Thunderbolt were last spotted on radar near Colorado's New York Mountain, about 100 miles west of Denver.

Radar reports, sightings plot path of missing A-10

Radar records indicate the attack jet flew on a straight path for 800 miles, then changed course near Vail, Colorado.

"I find it inconceivable that he could have been incapacitated and flown his plane along a straight line as long as he did," a top Air Force official told CNN Thursday.

According to officials, Button apparently was distraught after a recent visit by his parents.

Investigators are looking at several theories, including one that Button, described as a "gung-ho fighter pilot," may have committed suicide by flying his plane into the side of a mountain.

Investigators are also considering that Button might have jettisoned the A-10's four 500-pound bombs, which could explain witness descriptions of smoke seen on a mountainside.

Officials also said they are convinced they will find the plane crashed, with Button's body still in the cockpit.

High winds, low clouds and the prospect of more snow have hampered the search around New York Mountain. On Thursday, the wintry weather forced officials to temporarily call off the search.

Maj. Frank Gose, a Civil Air Patrol pilot, said that even if Button managed to survive a possible crash, staying alive in the snow and frigid temperatures would be a tough challenge.
