i love how all these guys on here get in fights with 23 cops at one time and only end up with one scratch on their elbow and no charges filed against them, hahahaa, anywhere else if a person gets in a scuffle with ONE cop it's all over the local news and the guy gets serious jail time. ::)

4 cops.. helped me back into my cuffs... thats what happened... in a county jail.. the guards look forward to that type of thing.

a poster on this board actually went to visit me.. and can verify that my face was indeed busted up. and thats the first time I was choked out.. its a unique experience.. i remember it well... the darkness  kind of closes in around the edge of your vision.. and then you wake up.

what do you think.. they are friendly in a county jail when you're aggressive?

oh my.

James, did your arrest occur in Las Vegas? If so, what bar?

Haven't seen any fighting lately but  I've seen some great fights happen around this town a few years back. Usually always on a Friday or Saturday nite.

Years ago, and it may still be true today, it was OK to carry a conceiled weapon (usually a pistol of some type in a shoulder holster) so that usually kept fights to a minimum, but increased the number of un-marked grave-sites all over the outlying desert.

Sunday/Monday morning newspaper usually always had some minor headlines about a new gravesite someone found.

I dont remember the name of the bar.. it was around 10 am I believe when I got arrested.. but it was near maryland and flamingo... something like a dive bar.

now you need a concealed weapons permit in vagas.. its not so cowboy anymore.. but you can have a loaded gun in your car.. and on your person as long as its visible.. last time I checked.

of course.. that doesn't stop a lot of people from carrying anyway.. permit or not.

Sounds like you were in "FROG'S", James. Major UNLV hangout once.

I got friends who love to fight and I send them to a biker's place called Hogs and Heifers downtown because other biker buds love to do the same, but I've yet to see or hear about a fight down there yet.

But one of the better battles did occur in Tao (supposedly one of the finest night clubs in Las Vegas). That one was a three punch battle with two of those punches hitting the wrong guy.

He took the first punch from a smaller guy directly in front of him and while he was thinking about hitting a "smaller guy", he took a second punch from the smaller guy's bud directly to his left side and since this second guy was much larger; he let go with a direct hit to the guy's face and blood and snot flew everywhere while the guy was flying a few feet over the dance-floor on his way to the deck.

My friend just happened to be somewhat "indestructable" when it came to taking punches and that second guy just hit the wrong guy at the wrong time.

Needless to say, my friend and his entire party (they were celebrating his sister's 21st birthday) were escorted to the front door while the guy who landed on the floor was escorted to a waiting ambulance.

shit happens.. I'm not much for fighting stories.. on this board people simply wouldn't believe them. but some people can really take a punch.. and indestructible often goes along with drinking.. at least for me it does.

weren't you army.. something about the rangers? i forget.

Yea, Marines, but never ever had a fight in a bar or a tattoo of any sort.

The guy who got hit in my story above served time in jail when he was still a teenager for punching a younger drug dealer in the nose so he is very cautious and "selective" if he finds himself in a fighting situation. He takes a punch and actually takes a few seconds to analyze the situation before reacting.

I honestly saw him take on a neighborhood gang of three outside of a McDonald's in the San Fernando area (one was cutting the gang "motto" on the side of his car). One punch and that guy was down and out. Another was tackled to the ground and the last took off down Victory Blvd.

A crowd came out of McDonald's and gave him a big ovation.

Then the cops arrived and found that the guy on the ground was well known in the area and on probation.

When asked to press charges ... he said, "I'm not pressing charges against anyone. I was locked up once and I don't want to cause  that to  to anyone just for fighting. I just want him to pay for the damage to my car."

True story, QO.

I'm probably definitely wrong on the following but for some reason I always feel good about it .........

I think that the cops should be immune when it comes to handling "most" incarcerated individuals.

I tend to laugh a lot when someone complains about being "maltreated" by an officer in uniform.

If I was arrested for any reason, I'd expect to be maltreated if I was anything less than cooperative.

Can't explain why I feel so strongly about this though.

some guys are fucking pieces of shit, I can understand the police sometimes.

when I worked at the local police station a few years back, as a security guard (they were transfering the police station to another location, anyway they needed someone there 24h/7)
a dude they put in the cell starting pissing everywhere, he jacked off and put his sperm all over the door, crazy shits like that.

in my case.. I was drunk.. loud.. aggressive.. and violent right before they arrested me... and then I resisted them - pretty hard.. and in my drunk state was probably looking for another fight.

they told me since I weighed over 220 they were allowed to use extra force or something like that.. thats when I resisted.. I was a drunk ass... and I pushed that situation.

I was in no way maltreated by those guards.. when I sobered up they were actually very cool about it.

I am a prick when I drink.. true story.
