THe stage is already seet in america for a total confiscation of guns. With all of the recent mass killings that have gone on (I feel very much that these killers are mind controlled) the government of america is just waiting for the right moment to say ALL GUNS ARE BANNED or they will make geting bullets IMPOSSIBLE. It doesnt have to be a national hand gun ban, i mean that some type of anti gun legislation will be passed, I dont think they will try a total gun ban of any kind, more then likely that would end bad. However that doesnt mean that another assualt rifle ban, ammo legislation, gun registration legislation will not take place.

Gun legislation will never go under the radar, he may have been able to force it through but it would have been a major issue. LOL his AG wanted another arb that went further, one of his stances was gun law reform when campaigning. I understand your point fact of the matter is that isnt something that should be looked at right now, with more pressing matters that would reflect badly on obama, when things settle down and he has a chance to really press his agenda look for it to come back up. I thought it was common sense that he was.  i've said all along, the ecomic crisis is just a re-valuing of stock, money, and firms to where they should actually be.  Not htat 14k bloated shit, that they were never worth.

Obama wanted his social programs.  Some I agree with - jobs.  Some i don't.  Of course he played all dramatic with it.

And I think the result of ANY noticeable gun legislation will be huge.  Remember, lots of gun nuts stocked up when obama won - so they're already all gung-ho.  If he gives them a reason, they'll be campaigning and convincing family to vote repub in 2012.  And lots of moderates will just jump ship.  Won't happen.  You lose a lot of young dependable, responsible voters when you mess with guns.

I dont think the dems are that dumb.  They get their spending, they get the social programs, the printed $.  but any moves to register, etc, and they lose in 2010.  besides, there have been a rash of shootings, and I haven't heard of a single dem screaming about legislation.  Not one.  Maybe there has been something I missed... but overall, if they're not trying it in the face of multiple shootings, i'm not worried.
