WOW!  I read Lone Survivor front to back three times already.  How many in this thread have actually read the book and understand just who Marcus Lutrell actually is and the shit him and his three buddies went through?  My god those kids are lucky he didn't kill them.  I don't know if I would have had the same restraint as Marcus, of course that's what makes him a Navy SEAL.  That guy is a fucking American hero if there ever was one and these pieces of shit fucknig killed his dog?

HH6 can't you understand why I hate our fucking government?  The ass wipes in Washington want to let more of these mexican fucks into our country and guys like Lutrell and you go fight for them?  Doesn't make any sense bro!  They sell out the American people left and right and you guys go support them by laying down your life for them.  It's a joke!  If things like this don't prove it I don't know what does.  Irony at its finest.  You guys think Bush is better than Obama or Obama is better than Bush.  They are all the same shit just different piles.  Marcus loves to criticize liberals for the rules of engagement.  Haha.  He's shortsighted as well unless he's changed his opinion because it's not liberals that got his buddies killed, it's government in general and fucks in Washington who don't give a shit about the people or the soldiers fighting for them, left right center it doesn't matter.

You are correct about the book, I could not put it down. Finished it like 4 in the morning (back when I first bought it)

They are making the movie about the book now I believe.

If any of you on here want to read a great  book, that you wont be able to put down, go buy his book.

Yeah that guy Peter Berg is the director.....I think that's his name.....he was in Great White Hype, Aspen Extreme, he directed the Kingdom with Jamie Foxx.  Hopefully it will be a kick ass film ala Tears of the Sun x10.

LOL the idea that a multi millionaire, sports star would even be associated with activities such as that never the less be involved is also bull shit.

It's just an unfair sentence considering what he was convicted of... None the less... These guys are shitty... no doubt, and it's definitely more saddening because one of the victims was a military member.

You should care... That's what out judicial system is based upon.

People convicted of killing other people get lighter sentences than what Vick got... You think that the punishment fit the crime?

you mean ppl convicted of manslaughter or murder there is a big difference?

Was the punishment on the harsh side yea, his crimes were quite brutal and intentional...If i remember correctly he didnt exactly coperate with prosecutors either. His punishment while you may believe was harsh for his crime was very lenient for his ignorance.

Like I've said previously... he was not convicted of doing any of the killing... He was convicted of funding it... so yes... It's quite harsh for the crime that he was convicted of.

He pled guilty to "Conspiracy to Travel in Interstate Commerce in Aid of Unlawful Activities and to Sponsor a Dog in an Animal Fighting Venture". In addition, he admitted to providing most of the financing for the operation itself, as well as participating directly in several dog fights in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and South Carolina. He also admitted to sharing in the proceeds from these dog fights. He further admitted that he knew his colleagues killed several dogs who didn't perform well enough.

across state lines makes it a federal crime, say what you want the dumb ass got what he deserved he actually could have got an additional 2yrs so he should be happy, add that to the fact that he didnt coperate at first and you get 3 yrs what a little over one and half good behavior? cry me a river this dude is a jack ass plain and simple.

After going to prison and losing it all?

Yeah... I think so.

I know the guy personally (we're not pals or anything, but I've been at parties where he's been) and I do know he is not the brightest bulb in the box, but I think he'll stay out of trouble from now on... Yes.

He simply has to leave all of his old school "thug" homies back in Norfolk Virginia and get back to doing his thing.

I thought it was a bit shit, to be honest.

Awesome tale of survival, but too much in the beginning about wresslin' gators and loving jebus.

Buds sounds like it could be a little bit "emotional", too.
