No.

Hyperextending of the back is not required.

We can argue all day about whether Bolton stands fully erect. I don't think he does, you obviously believe he do.

I think the hips are too far back, that's my reason BTW.

But the shoulders are not pulled back - so the lift should be redlighted on that alone.

JMO.

1. The lifter shall face the front of the platform with the bar laid horizontally in front of the lifters feet, gripped with an optional grip in both hands and lifted until the lifter is standing erect.
2. On completion of the lift the knees shall be locked in a straight position and the shoulders back.
3. The Chief Referee’s signal shall consist of a downward movement of the arm and the audible command “Down”. The signal will not be given until the bar is held motionless and the lifter is in the apparent finished position.
4. Any rising of the bar or any deliberate attempt to do so will count as an attempt. Once the attempt has begun no downward movement is allowed until the lifter reaches the erect position with the knees locked. If the bar settles as the shoulders come back (slightly downward on completion) this should not be reason to disqualify the lift.

Causes for Disqualification of a Deadlift.
1. Any downward movement of the bar before it reaches the final position.
2. Failure to stand erect with the shoulders back.
3. Failure to lock the knees straight at the completion of the lift.
4. Supporting the bar on the thighs during the performance of the lift. If the bar edges up the thigh but is not supported this is not reason for disqualification. The lifter should benefit in all decisions of doubt made by the referee.
5. Stepping backward or forward, although lateral movement of the feet or rocking of the feet between ball and heel is permitted.
6. Lowering the bar before receiving the Chief Referee’s signal.
7. Allowing the bar to return to the platform without maintaining control with both hands, i.e.: releasing the bar from the palms of the hand.
8. Failure to comply with any of the items outlined under Rules of Performance.

Hedge, would you go further and state that if we remove the briefs and suit, and perhaps the wonky bar, that no man on earth - given the current drugs available - is/has ever been capable of pulling 1000lb

?

calm down matt.

i feel your pain, being forced to use proxy servers to attack getbiggers, but there is no need.

i used to engage people like you in the past but now i'm content in the knowledge you would never ever ever in a million years speak to me like that in person.

you are clearly a racist coward, and your shame known no bounds.

wonky bar?

LOL

I don't know.

If John Kuc couldn't do it - who can?

John Kuc with todays suits and a regular barbell - perhaps, I don't know.

Kuc was a monster - extremely strong IMO.

It's a bit of a coulda, woulda, shoulda.

Right now Andy Bolton and Brad Gillingham are the two kings of deadlift IMO.

Why does the prerequisite for superior strength always require you to look and act like a fat stupid meathead?

LOL

The secret is in the gut pressure.

Eat and you will get strong.

That's a proven method.

You may have to train a little too.

But having a huge appetite is the fastest way to a big bench or a big squat.

You may look like a bowling ball - but you will lift a ton. ;D

I will not apologize for the lack of lockout on Bolton's part. 8)

Bolton's shoulders are just not pulled back and his hips aren't pushed forward.

So the lift isn't totally completed IMO.

So no, - I would not give Bolton white on that lift.

But when seeing him warm up, it looked exactly the same on 245 kilos, and the 1008 was actually pretty easy for him.

So it's probably just him having large thighs and a habit rather than him failing at the top.

I hate to piss on a lifter like Bolton who is a real lifting machine.

But that lift, IMHO, was not locked out.

But without a doubt the most impressive non-tested deadlift I've ever seen.

That sort of stuff annoys me. There's a guy I know who never locks out his bench, but because he does it all the time he gets away with it  >:(

Hedge, seriously, you amuse me.  You think if the lifter isn't in the IPF the lift is not good.  He outpulls anyone in that federation and any other.  Drug testing is a joke.  Your opinion of the IPF is also a joke.  It is a solid federation with some great lifters, but that doesn't make it any better than any other feds (although it is better than some).

Why wouldn't I like it?

My only issue with Andy Bolton is he doesn't look anything like his brothers...

Controversial...

I do tend to agree with you here, although I can see you setting yourself up for an attempted raping from hairy Mason.

See Swede, if you think its not locked out, dont pussy about when called out on your opinions, man up and qualify them like Hedge has done.

Fucking fag.

Swede thought it was this video:

I was standing next to the guy filming that.  It was a good Lift.  Last two time's he tried it he's had the bar come out of his hands.  he locked out and held it there for a good while before putting it down.

It looks like "WiseGuy" the puny Beta "male" is jealous of the heavy poundages that Bolton throws around.  :-\

The guy is huge and strong, plus doing what he wants to do in life, can't hate on him for that.

Serious question. I want you to look deep inside of yourself. Do you have self-esteem problems?
