Ok, so today a kid(16 year old weakling) was benching around 110lbs with no spotter, he was struggling with it and i knew there was a high chance of him getting stuck. Then when he put on 135lbs, he did one rep very shaking then went for a second one and the bar came down and stuck on his chest lol. He cried for help and i was the only other person there so i ran over.

I basically had one leg either side of him and the bench and grabbed the bar, upright rowed it and racked it, it was not possible to get around the back of the bench and pull the bar up from there because it was pressed up close against the wall, most people usually move it away when they are going to spot eachother.

Do you think this was the correct course of action?  :D

This one time when I started working out (13 years old I think?)...

I heard a guy almost wheezing out the words "help..... help...."  I was the only other guy in the gym at the time.  I ran over and he had 275 stuck on his chest.  I stood on the spotter platform that's welded on the back of the bench, and together we barely got it off him.  ;D

you should have curled it once, then let it back down again and watch the confusion on his face while he died  ;D

There was this strong big black dude in college.  Worked up to 4 plates plus a 25 a side.  Big mofo.  Usually comes in with his equally large buddy.  This time he was alone but still tried to put up huge weight.  I watched him do 4 plates a side with no problem then he adds a quarter, reps it once then gets stuck, but remains cool as shit and in a deep voice tries to get my attention.  I run over to help and I'd be damn if that wasn't the hardest thing in the world to lift.  I help him rack it and he thanks me.  Strips of a 25 and pyramids down..

next time you should wait around until some small dude gets stuck under a bar with 1 ten lb plate on each side
and lift it with one arm, i bet they'd go to home and cry lol  8)
