He was good enough to win in 1990, minimum top 4 in 1991, i saw a video of him at the 1992 FIBO he was freaky only outdone by Dorian.

In 1990 i read he wasn't allowed to compete in the Olympia? How come?

Yeh i was reading an old mag and he said about the 1990 show he'd put on 3 pounds and would have won if he'd been allowed to enter.

Yes, he was in the 1990 Olympia and was one of the competitors disqualified for failing the drug test. 1990 was the only Mr. Olympia that was drug-tested.

In 90, cant remember if it was aas or diuretics they tested for, Momo, De Mey, Vince Commerford (and Alq Gurley or JJ Marsh, I think )were disqualified.

Haney and Labrada (but still great) were soft that year, Gaspari looked like shit. Best conditioning were Ray, Mike Christian & Benfatto.

But they were tested before the show and then not allowed to step onstage?

I remember M&F saying Lee Haney had the cleanest urine of all.....whatever that means

That was same year Haney trained Holyfield.

They all did pre-judging, but negative tested competitors didnt do night show, I believe...

No, they tested for steroids that year at the Arnold Classic and the Olympia. The NPC also tested for steroids at the USA (Aaron Baker won), the North America (Jim Quinn won) and the Nationals (Alq Gurley won). Obviously, the tests were not fool-proof.
