NEW SMACKDOWN ANNOUNCING TEAM
by Mike Johnson

The new Smackdown announcing team, at least for now, is Jim Ross and Todd Grisham.

Grisham was replaced on ECW on Sci Fi by a most deserving Josh Mathews.

Nah, JR is too good on the stick to be pushed out. Michael Cole is a disaster. They really need to reunite JR with the King.

In all of our opinions JR is a great play by play guy. But for whatever reason, Vince McMahon has always thought Jim Ross didn't have the announcer look. That is one of the reasons they brought in Joey Styles a few years back. But then Vince didn't like Joey, because Joey wasn't like Jim Ross. Go figure. McMahon likes for his announcers to have a certain look and not an accent like JR has. I mean, look at the other play by play announcers. Michael Cole (granted he sucks), Todd Grisham who I think has come into his own since being on ECW and the new ECW play by play guy, Josh Matthews is not bad either. I could totally see when JR's contract is up, him being tired of McMahon's BS, just walking away from wrestling  all together.
