Will the US still be the #1 superpower?

Will the world be pegged to the dollar, or some basket of currencies?

Will the middle east/oil still be relevant?

What will China's population and position in the world be?

What will Russia look like?

Will the EU be bigger, smaller, or the same influence?

Which superpower will be running Africa?

What will have been the biggest stories of 2009 thru 2109?

At this pace?? We'd be lucky if we make it another 50 years without some shithole shooting a nuke at someone else (and that includes us... doing most of the shooting of course). Thus who cares about Europe, Africa or anything else. If we make it past 50 years I'll be telling my grandkids that any day above ground is a good day from here on in.

Check out George Friedman's predictions. He is the CEO of Stratfor Inc. , a private intelligence firm, whose clients include foreign government agencies and Fortune 500 companies. He just released a book called THE NEXT 100 YEARS. Believe it or not, he believes the United States will be even MORE powerful than it was in the 20th century.

This question is LAUGHABLE to think any sane person thinks of the us as a superpower or the greatest economy on the planet...how is america great when it (like some welfare recipient) is ALWAYS begging China for money??? None the less america will be no more in far less than 100 years

Oil will always be relevent and therefore because the Middle East is one of the places where it is abundant they will always play a major role in the world

China already DOMINATES THE WORLD in every sense...That position will not change a lot

NO INFLUENCE WHAT SO EVER...EU won't even exist as you know it

Which superpower will be running Africa? 
no one will be RUNNING Africa except the Africans...america and Europe will NOT exist to even run themselves let alone other nations or continents for that matter

What will have been the biggest stories of 2009 thru 2109? 
Biggest stories will be the disbelief that whites have caused so much world problems, wars, death, mayhem, disease in the short period of time they were out of their caves. But with the elimination of them by way of WWIII the world can breath peacefully now with no thought of wars, corruption, stealing, lying, pollution etc etc

Things sound really nice don't they?

I belong to his site. Its good stuff and most of it isn't predictions but analysis of current events from a military/US point of view. Its very good.

Well, in order for China to be a World Superpower, in terms of morality as well. It will have to shape up it's Human Rights record. They must be a bastion for Human Rights. And I don't see that happening in 100 yrs. They have over a billion people. And they view people as expendable. "So 5 million die from food poisoning, that means less people to take care of." That is their thinking. And they have to get out of that mindset. Also at last report, they said 10 million people are living with AIDS over there. and that was few yrs ago, and would you trust their stats? 10 million just may be 50-100 million.

Also China does not do too well with international issues, they kinda take the  *"autistic child in the corner" view of things, meaning they either don't do well in battles or don't do well in negotiating with others.

In a hundred yrs somebody is gonna push the button...

China will try to take a stake in Africa, but I believe that many African nations will be taking steps to be their "own" countries. out of chaos, sometimes order arises

*No offense to those with Autistic relatives or children

I was waiting to see who would be the first stupid guy to post a racist comment on this thread.......every single thread in GetBig deteriorates into racist name-calling and racial arguments......
