Time for an abcess to appear?
« on: April 12, 2009, 09:04:46 PM »
So if one has an injection abcess, it will appear rather quickly, right? Is it possible to get one months after a cycle?

i should start showing signs right away its not a virus that builds strenght its bacterial and there are "sterile" ones but the sterile variety comes from the muscle tissue not absorbing all the oils.  The bacteria should make it red within a day or so and then it will get way worse.  I have never had an abcess so i could be wrong, i am just going off of common sense here.

See, that's what I though too... but I am wondering if they can become apparent after a length of time, then flare up after the fact...

It should show symptoms in a couple of days. I agree with I-5, if you think you may have an infection, go see a Doc immediately. Don't wait and risk life and health.

Yes it will get red and sore quickly and get progresively worse, you may get a fever if its infected and you see a doc, although I drained 10-15mls of gunk and blood out of my shoulder myself a few yrs back

If it's a true infection, it will show relatively early.

I think you have a cyst or something.

An abscess is unmistakeable.
