Sometimes not thinking is the best thing to do.....
In Budism and Taoism, they consider that Not thinking state is the most happiest state.

But, at first, you must give all the answer to your life time question TO STOP THINKING.

Why should I fear death? If I am, death is not. If death is, I am
not. Why should I fear that which can only exist when I do not?

Death is always, everywhere. It's probably the only real thing in our lifes. Ideally, one should not fear it of course, but not for trivial reasons like that.

I think of this quote a lot.  As far as what I'm aware of, I'm gonna live forever.

And the Gladiator quote:
"Death Smiles at us All.  All a man can do is smile back."

You won't know death when it has arrived as you've ceased to exist so there's really not much to worry about.

Kumbaya, my Lord, Kumbaya,
Kumbaya, my Lord, Kumbaya,
Kumbaya, my Lord, Kumbaya, oh, Lord, Kumbaya.

Someone`s singing, Lord, Kumbaya,
someone`s singing, Lord, Kumbaya.
Someone`s singing, Lord, Kumbaya, oh Lord, Kumbaya.

Someone`s praying, Lord, Kumbaya,
Someone`s praying, Lord, Kumbaya.
Someone`s praying, Lord, Kumbaya, oh Lord, Kumbaya.

Someone`s crying, Lord, Kumbaya,
someone`s crying, Lord, Kumbaya.
Someone`s crying, Lord, Kumbaya, oh, Lord, Kumbaya.

Someone`s sleeping Lord, Kumbaya,
someone`s sleeping, Lord, Kumbaya.
Someone`s sleeping, Lord, Kumbaya, oh, Lord, Kumbaya.

Living in the moment is only possible in the full awareness of death. Otherwise it's just pretending.
To dwell on it is not living in the now of course.

Epic self-owning by starting this thread. We all know we're going o die, no surprise there. Actually a sleeping technique that sometimes works for me is to lie down and contemplate the sweet nothingness of oblivion:

To be, or not to be, — that is the question: —
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? — To die, to sleep, —
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache, and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, — 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep; —
To sleep, perchance to dream
: — ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despis'd love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would these fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death, —
The undiscover'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, — puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know naught of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought;
And enterprises of great pith and moment,
With this regard, their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.
I hate the State.
