I went 24 hours in 1998 and threw my keys away. I thought at the time that it would be half hearted to have keys when I was never going to close.
Best thing I ever did in business.
Everyone else closes on the major public holidays, which works great for me. Our busiest days of the year are xmas day, boxing day, new years day and good Friday.
Some gyms close from xmas to new year, so their members come to me, have a great experience and end up joining.
We have no salesmen, no membership consultants no telemarketing and no mainstream advertising at all. I use the opposite model to the rest of the fitness industry and people love it.
