Strydom has been ripped just about every photo you can find about him, and I don't know it that has anything to do with the way he has been training. When he was training at the late 80- and early 90's,  he didn't count reps, but use the clock, and he did sets up to half an hour long. Never seen anything quite like that, he go to horizontal leg press, take a full stack of 200 kilos and start doing reps. After 15 minutes gym management put a little bucket below the machine to prevent his sweat drop on the floor and make it slippery, and after half an hour he stops and move to next exercise. With that kind of training you should have some exotic metabolism which helps you stay lean.
