The David Young show is unwatchable, but not because he's gay.  It's just bad television and the 3-4 cases I saw just weren't interesting, even to people who are fascinated with hoodrats and po' white trash.

Judge Joe Brown is a great character and I have no doubts that he's the same in real life as he is in his TV life.  Same with Judge Mathis and that newer loud woman from Florida...Judge Karen.

Judge Alex used to be a cop and I like his no-nonsense attitude, but I only watched his show for a little while.

I'm currently watching Judge Judy reruns from 2006, but have no idea what she's doing today.  No time to watch them all, but I love her, because she has no problem calling stupid 'stupid'.

The producers from Mathis, Brown, and Judge Judy do the best job of researching cases, and that's why their shows tend to be the most interesting of the bunch.
