There was never a desire for the spanish speakers to learn english. The boards of education in america became involved in the ESL game in order to make more money from the government by saying it needs these classes and money in order to deal with the increasing spanish speakers...truth is they only wanted the money. Various government agencies also saw the MONEY OPPORTUITY (kinda klike the BAILOUT GAME being played in america now) and claimed they needed funding to deal with this issue as well, the american government did not want to really educate these people to English, becasue being either non-english speaking or all together illiterate forms a base class of people who will work and do anything to survive at BELOW MINIMUM WAGE (new slave). As you can see in america with the influx of Mexicans and the like, the construction industry, agricultural industry, manual labor industry etc etc has been taken over by them, becasue the employers know they will work hard, won't/can't complain, are readily expendable and replaceable. To make going to america more seductive the Mexicans and the like are given welfaree, medicaid, cell phones, which in turn gets teh Mexicans to tell their friends and family in Central and South America to come to america because things are great. Suddenly a surge of flesh bombards america and the job markets begin to deteriorate for teh average american. Salaries plummet, opportunities disappear, job security fades away and then jobs as a whole for americans disappear. The whole goal was to reduce the standards of americans to that of impoverished nations and it is working. Add in the corporate fraud, rights violation, taxes and surging prices and you can see what I mean. America is being DISMANTLED and it all began with No Habla Engles...
