RUSH: You know what we have learned about the Somali pirates, the merchant marine organizers that were wiped out at the order of Barack Obama, you know what we learned about them? They were teenagers. The Somali pirates, the merchant marine organizers who took a US merchant captain hostage for five days were inexperienced youths, the defense secretary, Roberts Gates, said yesterday, adding that the hijackers were between 17 and 19 years old. Now, just imagine the hue and cry had a Republican president ordered the shooting of black teenagers on the high seas. Greetings and welcome back, Rush Limbaugh, the Excellence in Broadcasting Network and the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.

They were kids. The story is out, I don't know if it's true or not, but apparently the hijackers, these kids, the merchant marine organizers, Muslim kids, were upset, they wanted to just give the captain back and head home because they were running out of food, they were running out of fuel, they were surrounded by all these US Navy ships, big ships, and they just wanted out of there. That's the story, but then when one of them put a gun to the back of the captain, Mr. Phillips, then bam, bam, bam. There you have it, and three teenagers shot on the high seas at the order of President Obama.

RUSH wants obama to fail. We get that.

However, he is going too far now. He's excusing the robbing, kidnapping, and nearly murder of an American ship captain, due to this hatred for Obama.

Rush just keeps finding more and more ways to become the sweaty impotent version of Ann Coulter.

Let's face it. Obama could cure cancer tomorrow and Rush would find a way to defend cancer.

He's actually defending the rights of sea TERRORISTS who put guns to the heads of Americans and tried to extort $2 million for their trouble.

I don't care if the man with the AK is 14, 16, 18, or 40. He's a bad guy with a rifle who is threatening to kill americans - after illegally boarding their ship and numerous other crimes. Rush called these terrorists something else: "merchant marine organizers". No, they're terrorists and they steal american property and lives for ransom and profit.

lol at the age portion of Rush's argument. People can enlist here with parental permission at 17. Most probably enlist in the age range of these pirates but Rush wouldn't know that being the draft dodger he was.

skin color is a non-sequitur in this circumstance

and I'm fairly confident that had Bush been POTUS and the outcome were the same that no form of legitimate media would make any joke about Bush Shooting Black Teenagers.

there is no joke - it's just an excuse to bring up skin color and is probably more directed as racism towards Obama than anything else
