« on: April 16, 2009, 12:43:38 AM »
After watching this nonsense cooked up by the GOP and  Fixed Noise today I think we have seen the falling of the GOP... I dont think a party has ever become more desperate.... they put us in this mess we are in and now are throwing stones at Obama for having to clean up their mess... Politics are disgusting now... Not 1 "Tea Bagger" i saw interviewed on ANY network made ANY SENSE and when asked about their signs they didnt even know what their sign meant when questioned about it...

Do you have political amnesia or something? The GOP is no more desperate than the Dems were JUST FOUR YEARS ago. If history has taught us anything is that the balance of power can switch on a dime. Keep foolishly thinking that the GOP is done for good and the Dems have Washington on lock. If the liberals don't get their act together, they could suffer the same fate in '10 that the GOP did in '06 (just two years after they had the majority in the House and Senate, coupled with Bush's re-election).

The reason that those people are upset is that, for all his yapping about "change", Obama isn't cleaning up the mess. He's spent more money in 8 weeks than Bush did in 8 years. As I've said before, Obama didn't start the fire; but he's the one dumping gas on it now. The man who preached "we can't afford more of the same" is ironically giving people just that.

One protestor in the crowd had a sign that summed it up well, YOU CAN'T BLAME BUSH, ANYMORE!!!. And he's right. People are sick and tired of Obama's making excuses for his screw-ups.

"Oh Pulease!!!" is right.

Obama's policies not only will NOT get us out of the mess, it is making the mess EVEN GREATER. That's why I said, "Obama didn't start the fire; but he's the one dumping gas on it NOW".

And, again, he blames Bush for his foul-ups. Bush didn't give AIG bailout money, along with permission to spend some of it on BONUSES for their execs, only to go in a feigned tirade (because the suits actually did with Team Obama said they could do).

Nor did Bush sign an 1,100-page, $800 billion bill, with more swine than a chain of Texas BBQ joints, without reading the thing.

Of course, the point you completely missed is that Busted's proclamation (as are others like it) that the GOP is basically finished and the Dems' Washington rule is permanent is utterly preposterous. Again, where the Republicans are now, the Dems were back in '05.

Their party didn't come to an end; and neither will the GOP.

A number of people at these protests said much the same thing. Glenn Beck got a healthy pop for his comments (paraphrased), "A lot of the Democrats just don't get it. That's because the Democrats SUCK (pause for applause).......but not anymore than the Republicans SUCK!!! (pause for applause)!"

I didn't see the pic when I initially responded to your post. I hope that the second one is Obama (as Uncle Sam) merely STEALING money from planet Earth.

::) Sounds like a wonderful solution. Hate everyone.

If you bother watching the actual protests themselves, instead of the chopped-up, edited, and woefully inaccurate clips from the ratings-deprived Obama-worshippers at MSNBC, you would have heard at least one of the solutions that some folks at the protests had.

Of course, the point of all this is (notwithstanding that a good number of people there were voicing their displeasure at the actions of BOTH parties, as of late), this screwball idea (touted by you, Busted, Team MSNBC, and other like-minded folks) that the GOP is done for good is utterly ridiculous.

Again, go back to 2005. What did the Democratic party resemble? How were they acting after losing more seats in the House and Senate? How "blue" were they when Bush got re-elected?

Well, when EVERYONE is a part of the problem then what is the answer?

A viable third party...as what was ignored in countless other threads.  BOTH Republicans and Democrats are a part of the problem.  TA, your love affair with Democrats is just as bad as some poster's love affair with the GOP.  Party lines don't help anything.

Obama is just as much as a militaristic war president as Bush. Yet people who criticised Bush for those very things on the left are now complacent with Obama.

And whilst claiming to be a socialist, most of whom oppose war and spending for war, he supports a warmonger president who wastes money abroad and cannot even comment on it.

I do and have commented on it.  I don`t agree with some of Obama`s policies, but that does not mean I have to automatically disagree with all of his policies.  This does not have to be an all or nothing type of thing.

Ok why dont you come back with a Intelligent response. You name a couple things that can be argued then you say "Stop sending money on abortions in other countries" "Stop putting out idiotic papers on right wing extremists"  Bush put out 2 papers on left wing extremists, were you upset at that?

This has nothing to do with “Bible-thumping”, notwithstanding that fact that some, whom you would lump in that category, voted for Obama (and one of the alleged "Bible-thumping" issues passed in the biggest "blue" states in the country and also passed in a red-turned-blue state on the opposite coast).

As for the "investigators and bloggers", we've already seen that many are far-left blogs, whose vitrol was well-ancitipated long before the tea-parties even started.

Once again, you missed the point. Your foolish declaration that the GOP is gone for good is the EXACT mirror image of silly comments made by supporters of the GOP after the 2004 election.

And this has nothing to do with a black man being president. Or did you forget that the GOP appointed the first black Supreme Court Justice, the first black Secretary of State, the second black (and first black female) Secretary of State? Not to mention, its current chairman is a black man.

So, spare me your crackpot quips about racist GOP folks. The protestors there aren't concerned about black; they're concerned about green, namely the green of our country, being foolishly and wastefully spent.

Traumatized Kerry supporters in Florida seek therapy

Tue Nov-09-04

MIAMI (AFP) - Shocked supporters of defeated US presidential candidate John Kerry are seeking help from psychologists, who refer to their condition as "post-election selection trauma," it was reported. The Boca Raton News said Palm Beach, Florida trauma specialist Douglas Schooler alone has already treated 15 clients and friends with intense hypnotherapy since the Democratic candidate conceded on November 3.

"I had one friend tell me he's never been so depressed and angry in his life," Schooler said. "I observed patients threatening to leave the country or staring listlessly into space. They were emotionally paralyzed, shocked and devastated," he told the daily. "We're calling it 'post-election selection trauma' and we're working to develop a counseling program for it," said Rob Gordon, the Boca Raton-based executive director of the American Health Association.
"It's like post-traumatic stress syndrome, but it's a short-term shock rather than a childhood trauma," he told the daily.

Personally, I miss the GOP from the late 60s and 70s... Only since Reagan has the Republican party turned into a bunch of spend happy chicken hawks who don't care who does what in the party as long as they say they're against gay marriage and abortion.

The Christian right really fucked over the Republicans.

Sad how the mighty have fallen really.
