Still, I see nothing wrong with a peaceful protest urging the gov to stop its big spending ways. To me, this is not a repub vs dem issue. It is a big-gov vs limited gov issue. You'll have idiots in any protest, activists, fringe people but if the protests rallied around opposing big gov, spending practices in the last several yrs and new taxation that we are just starting to see (what may be the tip of the iceberg to come in the next 2-4 yrs), I think that is a just cause.

As the gov continues to spend and taxes continue to rise (taxes other than federal income tax which has not risen and hopefully doesn't), we will see more people join groups like this and it is healthy feedback for the gov.

The problem is these people are not offering ANY solutions or state and local budget alternative proposals. If you took a look at these Teabagging rallies, they were directed at Obama and the Federal Tax system which you readily understand has not risen. The anger seems to be un-bottled and misdirected with no coherence whatsoever. There is no coordinated grievance or redress. This failure of cohesion will just continue to result in mass confusion and disinformation without any direction.

Right, because the "Bush is Hitler" rallies were really an example of clear cohesive policy discussion and debate.

Exactly. Many of the left wing rallies had and have people showing up for all sorts of causes whether it be freeing Mumia, Free Palenstine, Save Darfur, Stop killing the whales, etc etc.

He didn't say that he watched the Million Man March on Fox News (at least, not the day it happened). He could very easily watch footage from MMM, broadcasted on Fox (i.e. on the O'Reilly Factor), taken from a newscast that covered it the day that it happened.

Furthermore, the bulk of his statement was about Cindy Sheehan, not MMM.

FOX barely covered the 2003 Iraq anti-war protest, where 500,000 people showed up in NYC to try to stop bush froom launching a war.

This series of rallies was much much smaller.
