Agreed, he was horrible.  The only one that sucks more is Kornheiser.

He was great during the 90's. Watching NFL network and watching some of those classic games between the Cowboys and Packers, Cowboys and 49ers, Packers and 49ers, Prime-time NFC East games.....Good stuff. Madden and Sumerall were great.

But the last 10 years have been awful like Body88 said.

Who would be a good replacement for Kornheiser?? He needs to go. He looks nothing resembling a former athlete in any way. Would it be so bad to find another qualified sports announcer that can match Jaworski's level?

x2

I liked him during the 80's as well...before he went overboard drawing lines all over the screen.  These last few years, he has tended to only speak the obvious (Frank Caliendo did great imitations..."ya see, the team that scores the most points, wins the game ya see...BRETT FAVRE!!!!!").

Madden and Summerall were great together.

The good news is now John can post more on GetBig.

What a great career.  Coaching and broadcasting.  He did become a parody of himself the last few years.

You know, growing up one of my favorite announcing combos was Dick Enberg and Merlin Olsen doing AFC West games.  Being a huge Chargers fan, them calling a SD game is something that will always stick with me.  So many great match-ups....that division was loaded then...Den, SD, Sea, Oak and KC....

Yeah, I liked Dick Enberg with his 'OH MY!" catchphrase.

As far as college football goes, nothing beats Keith Jackson. I miss listening to him during big college games.

Thats a good question.  I really like Trent Dilfer.  Good choice there.  Or even Billick.

You know, minus some voice overs... He really doesn't make Madden.

We do.
