If I was to buy a Domain name for a friends groups myspace, could I make it redirect to their myspace, and also does it matter where I buy the domain?

1. If you buy the name & rent some webspace you run some cgi or php script you can have the browser redirected to your 'friends' webpage.

2. It doesn't matter where you buy it from really but a better service will email you before your lease expires etc.
