how much protein?
180 - 200 grams/day. On a 2860 calorie fatburning diet, the macronutrient breakdown will be the following:
About 55,94% of calories from carbs = 1600 calories/400 grams.
About 25,17% of calories from protein = 720 calories/180 grams
About 18,81% of calories from fat = 540 calories/60 grams of fat
If calories were to go higher, the macronutrient of choice for adding these would be fat.
This would be the basis for the first 2 - 6 weeks during long term dieting, with a target of loosing about 0,5 kg/1,1 pound per week. For a system like Layne Norton uses (2-4 weeks high calories, 2 weeks of dieting, the numbers would be different).
The results are consistent as fuck, with a long term weight log showing almost a linear weight loss that amounts to 0,5 kg/1,1 pounds per week for the first few months (with very little reduction in strenght or energy, while showing a predictable reduction in bodyfat measured with Jackson and Pollock 3 site) with only minimal reduction of the calories.
This is not necessary a diet for getting on stage though, and it would probably need to be tweaked eventually if the goal was to compete in BB.
