There are still types of 'housing' that are still going up. Try to buy a little acrage on the west coast, you are still going to pay top dollar. If you want rental-quality housing, then you can find a few deals now days.

Until the average salary can afford a average house, the homes are too expensive.

I don't see the correlation between the cost of housing and unemployment.
