How about inverted dips (hands facing inwards)?

I agree, this goes for close grip bench as well..I find that using a lighter weight gives the ability to target my triceps while minimizing chest involvement.  Also it might be better to do pre-exhaustion as well .

Try a pre-exhaust like skull crushers/dips or tricep extentions/dips

The issue could very likely be in your form. Try keeping your torso straighter & more (but not perfectly) perpindicular to the ground.
MOST IMPORTANTLY- keep your elbows tucked close to your sides as this will focus more on triceps.
Flared elbows activate more pectoral fibers.

This was an effective technique that guys used years ago on V-dipping bars, which are quite rare to find in gyms these days.
I’ve tried them on parallel bars and, even with wraps, they tear the piss out of your wrists.
Done correctly, they are a fantastic chest-builder.

Dips won't do much for your triceps, there are much better exercises that you can use to build triceps.  Also, you posted a link to an article written by RON HARRIS.......

RON "14-INCH ARMS" HARRIS, that guy pretty much looks like he has two stumps for arms after an amputation..

Don't take advice about arms from a guy that can be put to shame by this guy:

"1"

P.S. No offense Ron, while you have small arms, you do look like you might have a big penoris.

His point was that it was static holds not dips that made a difference. My own experience and watching some guys with great arms is that partials close to and at the top of any dip/pushdown motion are more effective and a lot easier on the joints. Static holds are in that category, and bending the arms as he mentioned is again something like a partial near the top, consistent with what i've experienced as more effective.

Dip machine and bench dips are better for tris, again using partials. Same thing with pushdowns.

That's why you don't grip the bar, but actually use your palms to support your weight. it helps if the bars are thick. I have a huge dip bar in my parents basement (way too big to put in my apartment) and it has huge bars, and I can support my palms easily when doing inverted dips.

lol how you gonna do that without an injury?

My brother told me about these, he said a guy at his college did these and that was all, never had injuries, and I've never had any problems doing them. Because I use my palms.
