Just thinking over some history.
« on: April 26, 2009, 03:32:47 PM »
Obviously Getbig likes a joke, its all fun, which is great.

But can I get some serious opinions on the following acts of history, and moreso, can someone explain 'how' did this crap ever happen?

I mean, just 'why' would folks sit back and just go with the flow with this?

Ron - and no offence posting the photos -  I know you are jewish, but would you care to weigh in and give us your opinion here?

The images are abit graphic, shocking infact, some shit just leaves ya fucked off, especially when - as these pictures show - it graphically hits the kids:

Yeah but what indoctrination? give an example or its just simple rehetoric.

I mean, just 'what' could somebody be indoctirnated with to make them a) go along with a plan of putting people in camps/working people to death, b) what kind of propaganda could render a person so servile that they would just go along to the camps rather than fight back?

These fucked up pictures make me think of an evil regime, what do they make you think of?

See what I am trying to get at?

Its bizzare, truly.

Quite similar (though not in the level of horror, make no mistake) to the way some segments of modern American society are teaching their kids to view people they perceive as 'different'.

People who do not love themselves can do unspeakable things to other individuals.  This is why self-love is *not* taught, even in America.

Maybe they didn't like having economic sanctions placed on them.

protocolization and fragmenting of procedures of extermination practices is also a contributor. if you're just a tiny part of the 'destruction chain', personal responsibility gets smaller and smaller.

Ah cool, I get ya, that makes sense.

But in the example in my opening post, how was it a gradual process?

Surely either a) the propaganda was FUCKING GREAT and thus did its job BLOODY WELL - if so, can you give an example> - or b) the mass population were fucked up evil bastards?

Good point, SP. Easier to rationalize your role. The Nazis basically bureaucratized their exterminations which is both utterly chilling and quotidian. No wonder Arendt subtitled her Eichmann book '...the banality of evil.'

I hear ya, but others might be asking 'who didnt?' so please expand a little for the folks in the cheap seats ;)

I'd still love an example of the propaganda too though, that would obviously be one of the main factors in any mass population control scheme.

Totally agree.

Didnt Arendt say something about Eichman enjoying it when the poor fuckers arrived dead on the trains or some crazy shit.

Banality sums it up, it just makes you think 'why? whats the fuckin point'

Id love to ask Rothschild that question, wankers!
