At the very beginning (1999-2001) just squats, leg press, stiff leg deadlifts and sometimes lunges...because I didn't have the opportunity to did the other exercises with machines.

Then I still did squats and leg press in one workout (2002-2006) with as much weight as possible and then did 3-4 other exercises (at least two for hams).

But since 2006 I didn't use heavy weights with low reps anymore. My legs are a bit smaller now but once I start to use heavy weight again (as I did it last year) my legs gets bigger with 1-1.5 inch... But I don't need bigger legs. I need better legs. So now I'm doing at least 5 exercises per workout with 10-30 reps in each set.

Thanks. No, you dont need bigger legs...

It goes without saying you train legs hard, but then again you obviously have the genes for big legs, how do you balance the training now, so your upper body doesnt lag behind?

I think my upper body is still worse than my legs but I do everything to reach the balance one day.  ;)

Sure your legs are a very strong bodypart, but you have a great physique.
