I will not goto the gym as much, do like falcon at home.
I have a treadmill, concentrate on cardio.
I will juice (jack lalane) everday oranges and carrots ect
Supplement with proven immune enhancing herbs.  I will load up on vitamins and
fish oils "i eat enough fish anyway"
Use sanitizer after every machine I touch.
what else.  Any Idea's

I will purposely jog with sweat suit to bring body temp up.
flu can't live in a body thats not 98.6.

Drink water constantly, only triple filtered infront of me from the
water store up the street.  Only water that is oxygenated!

As usual a lot of media hype. Most cases outside Mexico are mild but the press love a bad news story. Remember Bird Flu? Me neither.

I think this is the overall concern when you get any new strain of flu that has killed younger people http://www.fluwikie.com/index.php?n=Science.PrimerCytokineStorm

If swine flu becomes big, like the common flu,

the swine flu is a common flu.   this is just a new mutation.  there are various strains of flu going around the world all the time.  flu viruses are always mutating.   if not, a single flu vaccine would protect you from all flus for life.   instead, vaccine manufacturers have to look at all the variations of flu viruses that are active and predict which ones will spread this season.   they put those into that year's vaccine.

birds, pigs, and humans are all affected by the flu.   some strains spread easily between all three.  some strains humans can catch only from direct exposure from a bird or pig and cannot be spread human to human. (flu outbreaks often follow migratory routes of birds)

viruses mutate all the time.  a strain that causes a mild illness for years can have a slight mutation that may make it deadly.  a strain that is not easily transmitted from human to human may have a slight mutation that makes it spread quickly.  when a mutation does both, makes it easily spread, and makes it deadly, you can have pandemics.

we're not quite sure whats going on here.   this variation seems to be easily spread, but its not quite clear why it has been so deadly in Mexico, but not elsewhere.

as far as this strain becoming something you'll have to deal with every year, it don't work like that.   if you catch this variation and survive, you'll be immune to it for the rest of your life.  but now days that's not your only option.   this variation will certainly be in the next flu vaccine.   get the flu vaccine and you'll be immune to this variation for the rest of your life.

Remember Bird Flu? Me neither.

Bird flu (H5N1) is a particularly deadly strain of flu that could have turned into a pandemic, if not for the hard work of government health ministries and scientists.    If we're not careful, it still could.

Its like Y2K.   All this hype prior to New Years day 2000, then nothing.  That doesn't mean that it wasn't a real problem.  It means that we computer programmers worked out butts off fixing the problem before that very real deadline.

Just do a few shots of hard liquor, it'll kill the germs. Shrug it off and get your ass back in the power rack already god dammit.

There is a 6-9 day incubation period that this flu has.
Plus bird flu was transmitted from bird to human.
This is freakin airborne already.  So, if 500 people have this int
the U.S, than there are about 5x or more that are getting incubated.
Most are all show no go!

its a given that cold and flu viruses will be on bars and weights.   don't touch hands to your eyes, nose or mouth.  wash your hands often, including before going to the bathroom.

Unlike regular flu, this flu kills the young and healthy, not the elderly and sick.  It does this because of the body's inflamation response to this particular strain.  In other words, having a strong immune system works against you with this one.  In that, this is very much like the "Spanish Flu" of 1918-19, in which 50 million died worldwide.

If you're not scared, you either don't have a full understanding of the situation, or you're just plain stupid.

The Norwegian health department estimated that if 1,2 million Norwegians got infected, about 13000 would die. This is a mortailty rate of about 1,08%. At this point in time, they still stand by this estimate.

It seems like other sources estimates a mortality rate of about 1 - 2% as well.

All joking aside, I'll consider practical precautionary measures, like hand washing and not touching shit that I have to. But, no, I'm not going to be scared about it or even think twice about it. I think developing some psychological degree of anxiety over this just makes it worse.

The Health Benefits of Oxygenated Water

Oxygenated water is water that is infused with oxygen. People who consume oxygenated water will get more oxygen into their bloodstream. This has a variety of health benefits for a variety of people. Not only is drinking oxygenated water a good idea for active people, it’s actually a good idea for everyone.

First of all, to understand just how great oxygenated water is, we must consider that the two greatest needs of the body are oxygen and then water. Without either of these two elements, the body will die. Of course without oxygen we will die in a matter of seconds, while being deprived of water will lead to a death that will take a few increasingly painful days to occur.

Thankfully most of us will never have to go through a complete lack of oxygen or water. However, many of out bodies are slightly deprived of both, and that’s where the greatest benefits of oxygenated water can be found.

Oxygenated Water =  Desired Respiration (Aerobic Respiration)

Oxygen is needed in the body in order for energy to be released from the food molecules. This is called aerobic respiration (the release of energy with oxygen present). This is the best way to produce energy in the body.

When there isn’t enough oxygen present, what happens is called anaerobic respiration. This anaerobic respiration results in only a partial breakdown of food molecules in order to continue producing energy. As a result lactic acid is produced as well. The lactic acid causes us to feel tired once it reaches certain sections of our muscles and blood. Then once we are done moving, the body needs even more oxygen to break down the lactic acid. This is why we breathe heavily (pant) after exercising.

So this takes us directly to the first health benefit of oxygenated water. Getting more oxygen in the body will actually give us more energy and allow us to be more active for a longer period of time without feeling fatigued. More oxygen in the blood means that aerobic respiration will take place, which means more energy in the body.

Oxygenated Water = Less Chance of Cancer

The second health benefit to drinking oxygenated water deals with our overall health.

Dr. Otto Warburg, a two-time Nobel Prize winner for research, found results that suggest oxygen deprived cells are more likely to become cancerous. These are healthy cells that become cancerous because of a lack of oxygen. Therefore, having cells with enough oxygen is important to preventing cancer. Since oxygenated water provides more oxygen to the cells, then oxygenated water helps keep cells free from cancer.

Oxygenated Water = Preventing Viruses and Bacterial Infections

A third benefit to oxygenated water involves preventing other sicknesses beside a major illness like cancer.

Oxygen in the body helps promote the replication of good bacteria in the body. These good bacteria help to keep our body safe from bad bacteria that will harm us and make us sick. In fact, pathogens (micro-organisms that cause disease) are almost never found in oxygen rich environments.

As a result, people with a lot of oxygen in their bloodstream, are much healthier and much less apt to get a virus or a bacterial infection. On the flip side, people without a lot of oxygen in their bodies will be more lackadaisical and more apt to sickness.

yes, H2O2 is called hydrogen peroxide.   drink too much of it and you'll die.

what you really mean is oxygen infused water, which would be about 99.99% H2O molecules, with 0.01% of O2 molecules dissolved in between.

LOL. My first Google hit was a Chemistry response debunking your 'product.' Enjoy.  ;D

Unless you have gills, it's just an expensive burp!

Oxygenated water (also known as "superoxygenated" water) is offered at hundreds of Web sites. I highly recommend it if you happen to be a fish, but if you have lungs that breathe air, then forget about it! All  water that has been exposed to the air is "oxygenated" to a small extent— about 8 milligrams of O2 per liter of water at room temperature— and this can be increased by pressurizing the water with oxygen gas; each additional atmosphere of oxygen pressure pumps an additional 40 mg into each liter. But what happens when you open the bottle? That's right, the extra oxygen goes right back out— but not immediately, so by drinking oxygenated water, you can still take a bit more oxygen into your stomach. But can any oxygen molecules that don't get burped back out actually find their way into your bloodstream through absorption in the stomach or intestine? I very much doubt it; the lungs are exquisitely adapted to this function, while your digestive system is specialized for absorbing other nutrients. Suppose, instead, that you simply breathe in an extra liter of air (much easier to do than drinking a liter of water!) It's an easy chemistry students' calculation to show that you will be inhaling about 146 mg of oxygen in this way. Not all of it will enter your bloodstream, but you can always take an extra breath; it's free!

These products seem to be pitched especially at the sports community, always on the lookout for that thin advantage that can make all the difference. There is no credible evidence that it does, as the following articles mention:

    * Superoxygenated water is latest sports scam
    * Oxygenated water: Fad and fiction in one expensive burp
    * Oxygen is good—even when it's not there;
