Is he flexing his chest there? I don't see striations.

Why is there no separation between the brachialis and the biceps?

Theres so many questions about Jay's physique that go unanswered. Why does he get a free pass when it comes to conditioning? Why does he come on stage and we can't see separation between muscles? Is he trying to come in 'full'? Is 275lbs actually what he should come in on stage at?

When he dropped 20lbs of water between the pre judging and night show at the 2008 Olympia he looked his best imho. He needs to stop coming in "full" and get dry for fucks sake this is pro bodybuilding. Look at the 90s nobody was coming in soft and placing top 5. Lets see some fuckin muscle tissue for fucks sake no more blobs...

These are really good questions.

Is Jay judged fairly?  In 2007, was he really any better than Markus Ruhl?  Is he just in the heads of the judges for the vast improvements he made from 2000 until 2001, coupled with Ronnie's regression that year which made it appear all the more spectacular?  Is Jay objectively as good as he is considered to be or is he overrated?

He looks great there but 2007 was a gift.

He does lack separation, esp. in his arms/shoulders.  However, I think he colors himself too dark...seriously it looks like crap.  In some of his pre-contest photos he looks better conditioned.  His quads look like they're covered in shoe polish in these pics.

Last Olympia he didn't even deserve to be in the top 5. One of his quads was smaller than the other and he looked like a brown version of the Pillsbury dough boy

I don't see him improving over how he looked in 2006 or some of his other showings.

His days of ' improving ' are long over , the new bred will replace him soon enough

I really like Jay cause he's similar to Dorian in having blue collar work ethics, is much accomplished, humble and a class act all around - you never hear anyone say a bad word about him and I'm sure it's for good reason.

I think Jay would have been a lot greater than he became if he didn't peak in Ronnie's era, cause that's where things went wrong for him - he was great around 2001 when he weighed around 250 lb, but he started chasing size at the expense of everything else to be competitive with Ronnie and the results made his waist grow, skin become thick and lose the shape that he had at his peak.
