it's stupid, I don't post on any other boards where a signature is disallowed.

obviously we were able to have them at one time which is why I still have one, but if I go try and edit it now it only allows 1 character.

that is a good reason why this board should be ported over to a real forum script like vBulletin where controls can be put in place to handle signatures and violations.

SMF holds it's own against VBulletin. And you can do things like place restrictions on signatures in this forum too - it's upto Ron to implement the mod.

The reason Ron took it away was because some people were abusing it with things like porn pics, that puts a huge load (pardon the pun) on the server cause it has to load them every time someone clicks on the thread.
