For those who have joint problems and take Glucosomine.
« on: May 05, 2009, 10:58:39 AM »
There is the Glucosomine hci or Hydrochloride, and then there is Glucosomine Sulfate.
It almost all the Chondroiton combo's its the hydrocholride that is in there.
I've been taken it for months with no results.  Then I did my research, and all the
Positive Blind tests that have been done at major universitys, the sulfate is the only
one that had dramatic results.  So, I was tricked into taking something that cost more,
and doesn't work.

I got the sulfate, which is in capsule form, not tablet, and in days I started feeling better in
my joints.  So if you take it, check out the difference "even the Mayo clinic website" states this as
well.  Go and google it.  I'm interested if anyone else observed this.

BTW, they do the same thing with whey protein I believe the best was the isolate, but there are other ones
that are not nearly as effective for absortion.
Most are all show no go!

The most effective one IMO is Cosamine DS.

Thanks for the heads up. I personally wasn't aware of the difference. Bad on my part.

I've used Glucosamine/chondroïtine for 2 months because of joint troubles in my right knee. This was about 4 years ago or more, the troubles never came back.

Would this help your rotator cuff?

that depends on what you mean, as far as the joint and connective tissues in the shouder yes, but not the muscles that make up the rotator cuff.
