I still have never seen scriptures forbidding interracial marriage.  The main reason for the forbidding of marrying "foreigners" was so they wouldn't affect the Jews beliefs and "encourage them to follow other gods" etc.

the bible does contain descriptions of historical events, such as pharaohs, and Babylon,  and lineages of tribal chieftains (aka Jewish kings).   just like with the ancient Greeks, there is some historical events mixed in with the mythology, and some mythology mixed in with the historical events.
