i don't buy that you have a warehouse dude, unless it's your garage.  you probably buy the item when an order is placed.

thanks for the advice though, im looking for a more commercial-esque elliptical, maybe ill have to spend more, gonna look on craigslist.

Chuckle.......

That's too bad.  I was trying to help a Getbigger out and I would have given one of them to you for $800 dollars plus shipping.  They were originally from a client's personal training studio I put together and he decided to change to E7 HRC models a couple weeks later.

The retail on that machine is $2175.00.  Feel free to look it up if you like and if you change your mind let me know.  They'll be in the warehouse or what you consider a garage.

Its also available to anyone else on Getbig as well but I only have 3 of them available.  First come, first serve

Not me.  At 800 dollars apiece, they will go fairly quickly.

My parents bought one at sams club and it sucks. the range of motion is way too short. You need to get a gym quality one for it to be worth it imo.

Years ago we bought a Precor EFX 5.21si and it still works great..never has needed any type of repair etc.

I think the list back then was like $3000 but you can negotiate price like when you buy a car.

We had a stair stepper before and didn't use it as much as we use the elliptical.  The perceived level of exertion is so much lower on the elliptical imo it's just easier to start.  When we had the stair stepper there were many times I knew I should be doing cardio but more often than not I just skipped it.

I got one delivered from Sports authority.  It was $350 or $400.

Got it 2 years ago.  Pro Form Stride Select 825

Obviously not a commercial unit, but it's built very solid for the $.

my parents bought a commercial precor a couple years back. It was 2500, but it is sweet. I bet you could get one of those for about a grand used.

Yeah, I got a Life fitness, brand new from some guy about an hour from me... He decided he didn't have the space for it and I chewed him down enough where I saved almost $1300.00 I've had it a year and I use it everyday. Awesome machine.

No you can't.  Precor is really stingy on pricing for dealers and even more for used equipment.  Not only that, most people can't stand the bulky design of a Precor.  Here's an example of what I mean and this is from one of the largest dealers of cardio equipment

http://www.treadmillscentral.com/precor-elliptical.html

For a good 'remanufactured" one, you can expect to spend about 3-4,000 dollars but I would get someone a brand new Star Trac E-TBT if they were going to spend that much money

Nordic Track makes them and the one my wife bought is not easy like the ones in the gym. They seem to glide once you start. This thing is much harder and we have had it for 7-8 yrs and is still working great. I would buy a fold up tread mill. We have one of those also by Nordic Track and that is my preference when not doing the stair mill in the gym.

Find a gym version you like and be prepared to save more to get it. Trying to skimp with cheaper home versions, etc. won't cut it. Craigslist, Ebay, etc. will give you some savings but they're still not cheap to get a reliable, effective one, bottom line. Precor and others make good home versions as well that are less expensive, in which case you have to try them first they're slightly different in features and incline from the gym versions.

Myself i wouldn't want a reconditioned one from a gym, i want one from a private owner assuming it's not been abused.
